  • How many rolls of that Quick Roof would you recommend for doing the luggage area as shown along with the front & rear door panel areas & maybe the roof? And will this work on the floor pans? Thanks!

  • @dodgers9302 Do not use it on the roof! You will need at least 3 to 4 rolls to do luggage, doors and floors

  • Great video, even though this is like a year old. I was thinking of getting dynamat or second skin for my car, but that stuff can be costly and I'm on a budget as it is. How I found your clip, I typed in "insulating your car door" and found your clip here.

And after watching this, I'm gonna be heading out to Home Depot in the morning and picking this stuff up. And the one near me has like 4 rolls left, so I will be down there at 7am to pick up 2 rolls for my car, lol! Great clip here, and thanks!

  • Great video thanx for the tip. We do short instructional cilps for classic vws also. check it out, maybe it will help you with your car.

  • looks like giant duct tape

  • I did put quick roof all over my bug engine, floor, firewall, doors an back panels it makes a big diff sounds so much better

  • @bigboidhb82 no prob in the engine compartment?

  • I remember you doing this awhile back when you first introduced quick roof on another bug. There were lots of concerns with this asphalt based stuff. Is it still working strong? Also, why use deadener as another layer? Why not just apply another layer of quickroof or two?

  • @akp123 It is not toxic, I spoke to the president of the company myself. It works so good, that quickroof is actually making a deadener for cars now. As far as another layer, that is your choice, I like Jute material on top of it, it was original to bugs.

  • and u use this around the whole car

  • @niv45 Luggage area, floors, inside doors. Nothing on the roof or upside down.
