Still remember watching this on the TV and all the emotions bubbling inside of me. I´m not a huge fan of Opera but seeing Mr Pavarotti making such a passionate performance for his country to mark the opening of the Olympic Games even though he where seriously ill I believe is something I will remeber forever.

@msozturk It is, not just lip sync but everyone including the conductors and the musicians were pretending to play, it would have been impossible to sing late at night in the sub-zero conditions of Turin in February. The late Mr Pavarotti actually turned down to performed so many times because of it.
