  • Beauty padgents are cruelty, they judging if a little kid is beautiful they are all beautiful and imagine how much there parents spend on that 2000-100000 dollars or pounds just to win, I know it's about having fun but it's disappointing if u lose. I heard that there is this family dieing to win every beauty padgent and the mum is making the kid do it! While the farther is working his bottom off just for her to spend like one million dollars on a beauty padgent the kid don't even wanna do it! I

  • She got her turtles! :D

  • I still love Little Beauties.... better than Toddlers and Tiaras.... (:

  • I still don't see why 75% of the people commenting are haters! geeze. You're hating about the must stupidest things, example "NO SELF ESTEEM", "THEY HAVE FAKE SMILES" or "THEY ARN'T HAVING FUN". The whole point of child beauty pageants is that they do it because its fun experience! They get to dress up like little princesses for the day and maybe even win a tiara to match! So reply comments all you like but its not going to change how they are. Or maybe you're just bored or jealous.

  • @ramboracoon EXACTLY! Thankyou!!! I cant stand that i actually myself do beauty pageants and i dont think im better than everyone else im 12...i've been doing pageants since i was 6.....and the whole reason they're somehwat fake or whatever everyone is commenting is because judges are tough and parents are "using" their children to live out their dreams i think it would be fun to watch ur child do that thank god there is finally someone who agrees with me

  • That joanna is a brat.

  • The flippers are the ugliest things I have ever seen. They make the kids face look off balance.

  • This is the fastest way to raise a daughter with ZERO self esteem. Don't kid yourselves into thinking that it's the opposite. You'll regret doing this when she reaches her teenage years and is still looking for that external nod of approval.

Would love a follow-up on these girls ten years down the track. Hmm... I wonder how many will have an inner sense of fulfillment and happiness and how many will still care more about others' opinions. Only one chance at life girls! Make it count!

  • @gumboot1369 there is a documentary called ''painted babies at 17'', the girls turned out pretty normal.

I don't have children and I'm not obsessed with pageants etc, but I don't see anything wrong in child modeling, the mothers shown here seem good to their daughters.

    peace!

  • @gumboot1369 oh, I just forgot one little thing, the girls in ''painted babies at 17'' are NOT the same of this video, these ones are still little, around 10/11 yo today.

  • There are some mothers..that do it for their daughters do..But its really rare but they are always 1 in each one..

  • that man had rather a repelling personality

  • worldwide broadcast is recommended.

love to see the money possesed mums supporting their little girls. what will become of them when their 12 ,13 ?.. cant wait!

  • ok.. I was in one pageant when i was little my mom doesn't like them however, I do and I plan to put my child in them when if i have a daughter, my boyfriend&I have talked and we think it is best for ourr future children

  • @abbisworld I think education would be the best for your daughter.

  • @cosmosspring You can have a good education and be in pageants. Many people my age that do pageants are top of their class. Being in pageants doesn't make you stupid. And most parents I know, including my own, don't let their children go to the pageant unless their homework is done.

  • @missAlessa2009 So you do this then? If you dont mind how old are you and more importantly how did you come about to be in pageants?was it your idea? From your comments you seem exceptionally smart which is more than can be said for many kids(Adults too) on Ytube. Its refreshing to see someone writing in complete sentences in correct English not Ebonics.I just think this puts far too importance much on LOOKS.Looks can change at any given moment.

  • Comment removed

  • Im not a pageant hater or supporter... This thing is just pretty bizarre.. Anad yet I cant look away...

  • I guess all the mothers are posting comment...wow easy ladies!!! If you are so concerne about"beauty" why are all the mothers over weight, I did not see one in some kind of "good shape"

  • I just dont get it how is this not child exploitation, i mean you have them wearing bikini's and prancing about on stage. It's sick. These pageants are teaching these girls you are only pretty when you put a bunch of shit in your hair and on your face.

  • no its not zapbrannigann why are u watching it then i guess ur looking at there asses thats why and theres no problem with pagents

  • it isn't.

  • HOW THE HECK WAS THIS ON VH1?

  • @missAlessa2009

Wow, you actually sound plastic too :P

  • @Pinkiicecreamm *Sigh* I'm not even going to argue with anyone anymore. What I don't get, though, is why you 'pageant-haters' even bother watching this stuff if it just annoys you?

  • To see what a sick world we live in now, no-one asked you to comment on it showing off how many trophies and crowns you had for being turned into a 'perfect' version of a child/teen =/

Sorry, just seemed like you were rather showing off thats all :P

  • Maybe. I'm just very proud of all my accomplishments. I'm actually not exactly sure why I put it here... anyway i guess i just felt like putting it somewhere.

  • @missAlessa2009 Sorry but doing beauty pageants is everything but an accomplishment.

  • @cosmosspring How is it not an accomplishment? Winning is the same as winning a dance competition or a cheerleading competition. I'm very proud of my crowns and trophies. All the little girls are proud of themselves when they win, and they have every right to be. Pageants take practice and hard work just like any other activity. And when you do well and are rewarded for that, it's definitely an accomplishment.

  • @missAlessa2009 Teaching to little girls that is an accomplishment to win some kind of prize by putting loads of make up, fake her looks and personnality is wrong and stupid to me.

  • @cosmosspring It's not just about the makeup and 'fake looks'. There are talent supremes at most pageants that win that title because of their talents. That could be singing, cheerleading, dancing, etc. And any pageant judge will tell you: No matter how much makeup the child is wearing or how pretty they are, if they don't like being on stage they will not win.

  • @missAlessa2009 But most little girls I have seen on pageants fake their smile!

I'm sorry but most of them just look extremly fake AND sad.

They look more like little adults than actual little girls. Wich is way to weird for me to handle.

  • @cosmosspring Just because they fake their smiles doesn't mean they're not enjoying themselves. You have to look into their eyes and see 'does this child look liked they want to jump off stage right now or do they look like they're having fun'. It's not all about the smile. And you're only seeing the 'sadness' that the shows decide to portray. They call it reality TV, but the little girls you see crying on TV are the minority. Also...

  • By saying looks can change at any second I mean what if a child is taught solely to rely on Beauty and later when shes making a living as a model an accident(God Forbid) happens, disfiguring her what then?No one should put that much emphasis on outer Beauty. If someone is 350 and bowlegged they can still be beautiful.I dont say this because Im ugly,I have always looked good and have a gorgeous Girlfriend it just some of the ugliest folks I ever knew have been physically beautiful.

  • @cosmosspring ... children are going to have bad days. It has nothing to do with pageants, that's just being a child.

  • @missAlessa2009 Yes but I don't think childhood should be a competition.

To me it's just about sending wrong messages.

And why would you fake a smile if you are really happy?

  • @cosmosspring Soccer games? Baseball? Dance? Cheerleading? Should children just sit at home and do nothing but watch tv? Almost everything children do is a competition of some sort, whether adults see it that way or not. Some people - adults and children - just have smiles that happen to look fake. And it can be hard to hold onto a smile on stage, but just because they are trying to hold onto their smiles doesn't mean they're not having fun being on stage, dressing up and having their hair done

  • @missAlessa2009 It's not the same type of competition! You don't have to hold a smile when you dance! If it's the case, it's mean you don't like dancing.

When a kid practice soccer or any other sports, it should be for fun and fun only.

  • @cosmosspring And for almost every child, pageants are a form of FUN competition. I don't care if I win; I go to make friends and have fun.

And I used to dance and I loved it, but I had issues with my facial expressions so I just held a smile the entire time. It was either that or I would look like I wanted to go hide, even if that was not how I really felt.

  • @missAlessa2009 I just wanna answer that last part from my opinion. I don't agree with pageants but i watch this because it intrests me to see stuff like this from the kids point of view because most of the time i only see it from the parents & how selfish they are made out to be.. blah blah blah. I don't think i'm a hater but i'm not a lover. I don't see anything wrong with a competition but i do have a problem with all the make-up & making them wear swimwear.

Hope this made some sense :)

  • @Titch0843 I agree that sometimes the makeup is over the top, but as long as it doesn't look like too much (Eg Bright pink lipstick, neon eyeshadow, etc.) then I have no problem with it. Some of the swimsuits also can be quite revealing, but I've seen children wearing string bikinis on the beach, which is a much more public place than a hotel ballroom. One good thing about pageant swimwear: All the ruffles offer more coverage.

  • @missAlessa2009 It's called morbid fascination, like when people stop to look at a car wreck or someone planning to jump off a building.

  • pageants rock i love them ive done 6 already this year whoot 3 grand supremes 2 queen and 1 princess im jacked up on crowns ☺♥♪

  • yeah i love pageants to i have only done one so far and i won grand supreme and talent i am in one on Febuary 13th and 14th then nationals in August

  • The girl who got swimsuit was really pretty lol when she is older she will be pretty and also them crowns wear crap they were to big for the kids heads lol

  • it is ridiculous to have those crowns. but...the more you buy the cheaper they are and these people get deals. it's also ridiculous for a prize to be a car for 5 year old.

they do look faker than cher after plastic surgery, for sure.

  • jordyn wasn't the cutest, but she was pretty funny, and she grew on you, but i still think that this is wrong

  • it's not supposed to be all about beauty is it? maybe at that age it is. (sick) i really don't like kennedy's personality and have seen her in an interview. she is very pretty though.

  • @Jazaay101 umm....I bet you are disgustingly ugly and I bet she is prettier than you are!

  • all i can say is

bouffant hair styles, fake teeth, make up and all the other stuff does not promote realistic looks for girls.

  • Is it just me or do they look like plastic barbie dolls faces after they have had there make-up and stuff done?

  • um is it just me or do i like the sashes better then the crowns?

  • i think -pretty wise- that Aleena and Kenedy are the most georgous ones. Jorden to me looks like a child who hasnt been fed in months! *My opinoin!*

  • That is entirely natural for young children. Their BMI's are meant to be what an adult would class as 'underweight' because they haven't developed the cellulite and fat cells yet. I think Jordan is beautiful and I love the fact her parents aren't pushy too.

  • I am doing a pageant next week!! I LOVE THEM

  • haha im pretty sure i don't fantasize about boobs, but ok you go ahead and think that about girls, and by the way you don't say its wrong to call somebody bitchy if you don't know them then say it so somebody like 2 seconds later its kind of hypocritical

  • Jordan is hilarious and Kynnedy has an awesome personality (:

  • I love Jordans natural cutie-pie ness and Jordan is all sweetness

  • I know!

    This video is so funny!

  • whats the name of the final song of the program??

  • I just like Jordan!

  • i agree with everyone who says they're disgraceful. that's not beauty, it's no wonder everyones so fucked up if they think that's what beauty is.

  • interesting how all the moms are fat and are living out their beauty fantasies through their daughters

  • loll...i think the xact same things when i see these shows...n videos

  • I KNOW!!!!!!

  • @loveisaquestionmark could not have put it better myself

  • @loveisaquestionmark You just described child beauty pageants in a nutshell!

  • I have no prob with the whole outfits, slippers, huge hair and stuff but why do they have to put that much make up on such young girls??? Ibet that by the time they're ten they will be wearing make up daily! that's the only thing that really bothers me... they have cute little girl faces!, later will come the time to start wearing make-up (not that much though) to enhance one's attributes

  • I'm all for Jordan, she's so cute!

  • Lmao Jordan is mad cute and funny. Did you see her with the map? Love her

  • So many ppl are sayin it builds confidence but why in the world would a six year old need a confidence boost?!

  • I think Jordyn's mum handles the situation the best...

She is relaxed about Jordyn's progress and

at least her child thought she won...

I think that family isn't as wrapped up in

winning as aleena's mum seems to be.

  • They don't even look like themselves with all that makeup on... it's more of a Who Can Do The Best Makeup Competition than a beauty pageant. Nasty.

  • You have a serious point...

And this competition has made some of the

    children really brattish and bitchy...

    Take Aleena for example,

she's often whining and almost always

has something snide to say about one

    of the other girls.

And I find her obsession with boobs

far from funny, i find it rather disturbing.

  • settle down pageants are arent bad for you, if your thinking about them that way then you are a sick person. Ive been doing them since i was 4 so ur insulting ppl who do them.

  • i am about to do my first pageant and im just doin it for fun so u dont have to put mean coments about them

  • what? im not putting mean comments i do pageants myself since i was 4 and i was just saying dont say mean things about pageants cuz it defends people who do them.

  • I am 10 years old and i also like boobs - its natural, I'm a child, I was breast fed ,their part of every women's body. Don't act like you never were fascinated with boobs when you were a child. ___________ It's a proven fact that 92.9% of girls are fascinated with boobs. Ages range from 4-18. And first of all "sienna2112" you r disturbing and sick for bashing on innocent children you don't even know. How dare you call a CHILD "brattish and bitchy", you dont even know her.---- YOUR BITCHY!!

  • Um, sweetie... I never was, nor was anyone I know... but whatever...

  • first off, what's a 10 year old doing commenting with cussing on youtube videos, second of all, you don't know sienna 2112, so you're judging her too.

  • maybe its just there mother typing it down for then ?

  • i was wondering.

i just got a comment back for what i said and i erased it...i was only trying to to the arguement of it gives them "self confidence" line - that it teaches them other things too....

i have seen too many of these things where they really aren't good losers. they are told they are perfect and beautiful and many kids sulk when lose . it also teaches them that to be beautiful they have to have photo shopped photos, a flipper, more hair and make up...not ALL of them but glitz

  • who me ?

  • I know! they are cute without it! when they have all that make-up on, they look plastic like mannequins :s

  • yeah i know, im shure if you sake a spoon to their face you can get enough make-up for a whole week :p

  • they seem to look alike after a while

  • i thought that

  • i like the little jordan girl her mom doesnt force her into pageants

  • hi guys! this is sabrina rose on my brothers youtube account! well i just wanted to say i'm 12, but i cant do pagents anymore because we cant afford it now.. but if i could i would do it all over again.. i wish i could do them again

  • Does anyone else think that Mr. Tim is a bit weird. The pageant circuit seems to be his main source of income.

I wonder how many of these girls go on to continue being pageant contestants as adults? It looks like a way of life.

I can't understand this phenomenon. Are these pageants an American thing?

Think of the amount of hairspray these poor kids inhale. It's a crime!

  • I love that little clumsy one, reminds me of myself at that age lol

  • they should ban those competitions

  • These girls ARE indeed cute- but they are 6. Most child that age are cute

  • Well these parents seemed to be a little more relaxed... I really like Jordyns mommy!! Love her attitude... she didn't force her to wear fake teeth... she just seem happy with Jordyn and her person progress. Jordyn had fun, she thinks she won... that's enough!!! Mission accomplished.

  • 0:31 lol!

  • I was in my first pageant when i was 9 weeks old and won. I did it for the first 5 years of my life and HATED it. My mom made me do it though, I remember the only thing i liked was getting a crown and i have 12 lol. My mom had my little sister and she LOVES doing it, shes 11 now and still does them and is soooo good. Ididnt like doing it because i hated having makeup done and my hair pulled... my mom was also very pushy and never really let me do anything other the practice and compete.

  • yeah i started doing pageants at 8 weeks and did them forever and im still doing them now and im 13 and i HATED getting my hair pulled but not that im 13 my mom tells me to comb through my hair every night after my shower and it helps. i LOVE doing pageants its so much fun getting to dress up and i remember i won lots of crowns and still do i have like 32 crowns! i love beauty pageant its just my style :]

  • im a ex pageant girl but im smart so i figured out what a mockary of soiceity they are just 2 think there supposed to build confedence but how much confidence does a little girl get from being told they have to put on two tons of makeup and fake teeth??

  • how do you know that all of these commenters have never done or been to pageants before?

    stop assuming.

  • I think kynnedy is gorgeous

  • Pageants are the opposite of what everyone is saying!!!!!!!Most of the people who are commeting on this have never met the girls or done pageants before!!Pageants do not just foucse on your beauty, you have to know how to model, have a talent and have people skills for interview. And it teaches girls (and boys!) how to lose and win gracefully.

Everything is good if it's done in good taste and it isn't a childs whole life!!!!!!!!!

  • I understand what you're saying, but I think it's horrible how some people force their children to be in them. I'll admit that this documentary didn't show the parents to be so mean as to literally force the girls in, but I watched Living Dolls and it practically broke my heart. I think it's fine if your kid really wants to (in moderation) but it's not okay to force them to do so. I still stand by my argument that Eddie (Kynnedy's dad) is the only one with any sense in this particular film.

  • i hav never seen 1 in Australia yet do u think 12 is to late to enter in 1? just asking

  • you can enter at any time... but i can guarantee you wont win, most of the girls have been doing it since they where babies,

i was in them for the first 5 years of my life, won a few titles and hated it, untill my mom had my lilttle sister and she loved them so my mom focused on her more and i stopped doing them. and it costs a hell of alot of money...

  • kind of reminds us of the movie little miss sunshine. we never tried these contests yet. maybe my little sister would like to be in one.

  • I think what most people do not take into account is the fact that these shows are a main attraction for sick people who are into children (pedifiles). Also whythe need for bathing suit competition, these babies are made to pose and act "sexy", it sickens me. They should look and act like chidren with no make (they are looked just fine without it anyway). I just don't agree with putting babies out their for sick people to oogle at and then make them COMPETE for it????????

  • Most pageants only let in relatives and friends.

  • the moms are always pissed off when thier kids don't win...they usually blame the pagents being fixed. And it is not a hobby...unless you consider being perfect a hobby. And who the heck IS perfect?

  • Is it just me or does this mom look pissed off her daughter didn't win?

  • How old are these kids now?

  • 9 cuz this happened in 2005

  • joanna is my favorite, but kennedy is also cute!! theyre so cute snd any1 that says its cruel, its only cruel if the girls dont like it, it the same as any other hobbie, like dancing, or acrobatics, just more costumes and make up, SO WHAT!!

  • Yeah they act like they like it because their mom says "oh you get a pony if you win this" so of course they want to do it.

    ;)

  • I feel sorry for these little girls. Sure their moms are nice to them when they don't win when the camera is on. I'd like to know what happens to the girls when they get home.

  • i feel sorry for aleena

  • i wanted kynnedy 2 win :(

  • yes Joanna won Im so excited!

  • Cuteeeiesss i think that there all SOO VERY cute <33

they seem so cute i love those Flippers on the girls . i wanted to buy one untill i heard how much money it was .. i mean yea i can afford it . but why spend soo much money on fake teeth ?

  • I also think these children are being sexualised too young, with the coach enchouraging the girl to use her booty, or the little girl saying you have to flirt with your eyes. I also found it disturbing how the 7 year old girl was obsessed with breast and could wait to have them. At 7 I was not thinking like that, something is very wrong with that picture. Im so glad we dont have these pageants in England, I think they are beyond distasteful.

  • Egland has pageants, just not as many. I think they should get banned!

  • @Kimba21 there are many in england...

  • I see no value in these competitions whatsoever?! Competition is healthy for children, but what skills are these children learning? As a child I competed heavily in Latin and Ballroom competitions and although I had to do all the costume, hair, make up, spray tans etc, at the end if the day it was the dancing that counted. behind the make up, what talents are these children showcasing?

When I have children, I would encourage them into dance, not into these superficial pageants.

  • i would love to dress like this every once in a while but not all the time, since i wouldnt have time to hang out or go on the comp like this, it would always be my hair, face, clothes, nails, but i would need a break

  • I'm curious to see where these little girls will be 15 years from now.

  • oman i can just imagin

  • i think im gonna throw up! these mothers need parenting classes..and to all the people saying "oh but kids love this!" yeah because kids dont know whats bad for themselves! and a FRICKEN SWIMSUIT COMPETITION?! this is like child prostitution! im sorry but this is so worng on so many levels!

  • my parents put me in a beauty/cutest baby contest in our small town when i was little, they say i won the cutest baby contest, but to this day it still wrecks me...

  • wrecks you? why? something you can't possibly remember "wrecks" you? exaggerate much?

  • Pedophile paradise it is..

  • Wow beauty pagaents for little girls are disgraceful. I can't believe anyone would want to have their child in beauty pageants, especially after that whole JonBenet Ramsey murder.

  • i agree ;)

  • i luv joanna

  • GROSS.

  • I think that is sick. Those poor kids have no idea what all of that means and you know those pageant have some creepy, creepy people hanging about. Not to mention what are they being taught from all of it? Little girls should not be made up like adults and then paraded around like that. Some of those little girls look like they are in their late teens. Very, very sad.

  • OMG, these kids will grow up believing that it's necessary to be good looking and artificially over styled to be loved by their parents!

  • bloody hell

everyone is entitelled to there oppinion

And My oppinion is that your a neive, blind moron

open your eyes thees kids are 6 and thinking about "the money"

  • That all depends on their parenting. You can't simply generalize a vast group of children like that; it is no different from saying all child sporting stars will grow up to be conceited and believe that only winning is important.

  • wow i love pageants but the fake tan and teeth thing i stupid. they should be judged by how they realy look.

  • any other things like this?

  • cool:)

  • did you see the way she posed with that lollipop -when i was that age i was running around thinking babies came from stalkes

  • i agree, the pose with the lollipop looked like it was based on a playboy spread, so disturbing!!!

  • i dont think the mom are pedos. but i do think its weird to tell ur child "you got booty now use it" creepy anyway.
