I am 14...so I can't pour too much money into this hobby (well im also building a kit car, so that takes a lot) but so my helicopter is a Walkera 4F200, and I just took my smartphone (Samsung Fascinate) put on top of the skids and flew it. I uploaded three videos... btw its not very good, however for something I did out of curiosity as to how it would do its pretty good....

Doesn't the extra weight throw off the balance? How much weight can the helicopter carry?

@1mill2 the extra weight makes it more stable, its best to have a balanced centre of gravity, though. ie. balanced around the main shaft.

RECOMMENDATION: If found the youtube channel of this group called Aerialtake. They make similar videos with very cool drones (mostly of sport events). They found a way to improve the images, it's very solid!

So I guess the question everybody should be asking is: Is the video feedback relay from the chopper quick enough to allow you to use it for remote flying using only the video monitor? Isn't that how those Predator drones work?

I just got my first RC helicopter (an Syma S006) and I think RC choppers are great! But yours looks super-cool and heavy-duty. But would be interested to know if you fly it by video monitor. Happy Flying!

@pragmaticus123 I did not fly FPV (first person view) with these flights, it was all LOS (line of sight). There was no video feed to me. Check my channel for FPV flying videos (with live video downlink)

Fantastic video? I am a new electric 450 heli pilot and when I take off my heli spins as much as 60 to 90 rpm when my stick is in the neutral position. When I adjust the trim only one click it's as if I moved the stick all the way in that direction. How can I reduce the sensitivity of the trim? My rudder is channel 6 and I tried adjusting the sub trims to no avail. How can I reduce the range of correction my trim has only for the rudder as my main blade trim and throttle trim... work fine?
