the best Waltzer i have ever been on, and when it used to visit my town with all the lasers and smoke machines it was awesome. Big up Mr Coneley and sons
total disaster if it comes in it will ruin travelling fairgrounds the atmos will dissapear.we are becoming like america to pc.they may not be able 2 enforce it anyway
Umm...it's the tilt-a-whirl in the US and the difference is in the cars (No high backs) and that it's enclosed under a roof...like a "Himalaya" ride. Beech Bend park in Kentucky had one of these for years.
Ouch! Could you immagine being the person who spinns the waltzer things and then you got side tracked and it whacked you in the crotch! X_X no thanks... :P
I disagree with the discription of this waltzer. Its says"the steepest hills on any waltzer ever built".What a load of shit there are thousands of waltzers built by different companys, how can anyone say this has the biggest hills? They are big but the company that made this machine will have made many others some the same as this.Jamie North has hills that are just as big and I know there are many more with hills just as big as this. Its just a fairground myth that hasnt been forgotten yet.
i used to work with silcocks on the waltzer and speedway back in the 80s and early 90s,but moved to the us and am really disapoined at the us fair grounds, theres no atmosphere, there to worried about law suits over here to let the public help build up and pull down, glad to see this stuff on you tube, takes me back to my roots and teens on the fair all night!
If any of you would like to buy original fairground ride jingles and the software to play them at a heavily discounted price just go to ebay and type (ride jingles) into the search bar and you will be amazed at how many jingles are for sale on one cd or dvd.
This is in Britain. The Waltzer still remains Britains favourite ride. The waltzer has been popular since the 50,s but I beleive the firs waltzer was built in 1933. It was adapted from two other rides - The speeday (where the platform comes from) and the whip - notice that the cars are similiar to the whip ride.
I have been on TAW when I was in the us - it is fun but does NOT compare to the wzlr. The WLZR is a far more agressive ride !
I am assuming this ride is from Europe. I have not seen one here in the US yet. It does look like a glorified Tilt-A-Whirl in a Musik Express enclosure. A really nice combination. I do hope to see this ride come to the US (if they are not here already). It DOES look great. Of the videos I seen here, this particular one seems pretty fast.
use to work on this waltzer and yeah it did have the steepest hills.... it was fuckin crazy though....lol

The only Waltzer I know of in the US was at Carowinds in North Carolina in the late 70s. They removed it at some point.
