White comedians generally aren't expose to the duality of cultures like minority comedians so they don't use that as material. It is only funny if there is some truth to it otherwise it is just plain not funny and racist. Minority comedians try to educate the white audience about the differences about how a white person would act or do versus someone from their race. Plus comedy comes from pain and so a lot of humor comes from things that are painful alot of that being race, because hello this is america, blacks aren't the only one to use racial humor so don't just single us out.

comedy is talking about funny observations or a hysterical hyperbole of life experiences. most whites don't have observations that are comical about being white. many blacks do. come on, dude. get with the program. nerdy geeky ugly type comedians talk about the inability to get laid. 30-40ish comedians talk about mid-life crises. comedians that grew up poor talk about being poor. and so on and so on... talk about your life and fantasies dude, that's comedy.

Blacks talk about it because it effects them. it may stop you from getting a job or from making friends with people who have a preconceived notion of who you are. Mario Cantone talks about being gay, Margaret Cho talked about being bisexual and about having her period, Kevin James talks about bein fat all the time, and so on.

Mmm...I'd say, rather, that the solidarity felt by white people in places like Europe and the US is based on race is usually based on a sense of shared superiority, not shared struggle. Look at Nazis and the KKK. Of course, some spurious element of persecution is usually thrown in--but some white people (usually racist assholes) do bond by race.

I don't know what country u live in, but "white" ppl joke about being "white" all the time. The problem is, they don't necessarily call it "white" by name, even though the jokes cater to white ppl. Still has the same affect. What you don't see is black ppl complaining about how Jeff Foxworthy does too many redneck jokes.

The reason Richard Pryor is so highly regarded is because his humor was based on a certain experience, but could also went beyond that. Seinfeld's humor does the same.
