  • that fire spread real quick hell at 13 minutes the smoke covered the engine sorry buddy in the backround your house is gone

  • Unbelivable!

  • ITs a rippin!

  • That exposure went up quick

  • Nothing ever goes as planned....

  • That's a massive blaze

  • It was scary as hell listening to the firefighter yelling a mayday and they couldn't get water up to him in time. Hope he made it out alright =/

  • THAT IS A GOOD FIRE!!!

  • GOD bless those guys

  • A few FF's did get injured at this box. No life threatening injuries just a few burns. !st due ladder officer ran out of air and had to be taken out,he was one of the maydays. All in all, no civilians injured and just a few burns to the brothers. My company responded and we operated in the private dwelling.

  • @truckie152 Do you know why engine 9 didn't use that powerful water nozzle? I rarely see engine companies actually use it. I know that thing is powerful and serves a purpose but it seems to be there for decoration as I stated earlier I rarely see it used. Hopefully you have some answers.

  • @R3rules

FDNY SOP is that you never operate an exterior stream into an occupied building unless all operating members are out of the fire area. You'll just push the fire deeper into the building.

  • @ltladder49 Ok, thanks for the info.

  • @R3rules The only time I ever seen a fire dept. use those water cannons are in like huge oil refinery fires or something. They can set it up to dump alot of water on a fire and pull back and leave it unmanned.

  • @JohnDH1977 Right, however for those type of fires foam would most likely be used and depending on the chemical agent, hazmat might be called. The last time I've seen a water canon or stang used was at that 10 alarm fire in greenpoint brooklyn.

  • @R3rules it will kill the men inside... to much hot steam

  • wow, this vid is amazing. GREAT job on getting the radio traffic, and getting it in time with the vid. i heard at least one or 2 maydays during the vid, were any firefighters (or civilians) injured in this fire?

  • Wow, that's an incredible video! I hope no FFs or civilians got hurt.
