@alpha2261 it's a tin whistle, also called a penny whistle. it's an instrument used in a lot of Irish and Scottish folk music. Michael said he wrote this as a film score to a non-existent movie about the civil war. He lives in Franklin, TN, which hosted a pretty fierce civil war battle. a lot of soldiers in the civil war on either side were of Scottish or Irish lineage.
