  • its missing an amazing guitar solo and a third vocal harmony...not that ace could do a good harmony

  • Fuck this is better than kiss :O

  • It is Gene and Paul with other musicians. Peter Criss was never a part of these recordings. This was about a year before Peter joined them.

  • Publishing (royalties) is paid to the writer(s) over and over. Performance, which in most cases is a one time payment. You'll notice that in the early days of rock and roll a lot of artists did not write their own material. They got paid a flat fee to perform on the session. Also, sometime record label execs put their name on the writing credits so they would get paid repeatedly. This is a simplified explanation, of course.

  • srry lester5192 my friend said tht i no it is kiss

  • Sounds a bit like Bee Gees (Gotta Get A Message to you)....or is it just me:-)

  • reminds me of kiss.

  • @lester5192 it is kiss

  • @XDmelissaleeXD never heard of them.

  • Dont think royalties had to be paid back then thats why so many musicians got ripped off in the early days. Thats why they have a union now

  • Wow this a really good, good, good song.

I would love to have written it myself but they beat me to it.

  • @LeBigMoneyShow Actually, this was an unreleased song by a English group called the Hollies. Gene heard the track, I think through someone involved in the production of this album. So, this is a cover. The original is on youtube as well, but I like this one better.

  • @LeBigMoneyShow The Hollies wrote the song, Wicked Lester recorded a cover of it.

  • Woah.....good....

  • You can hear the Beatles influence here

  • a forerrunner of Kiss

  • Gene is a cheap prick!

  • man, that solo first could have come right off of George Harrison's first solo album. No, the Beatles weren't MUCH of an influence on these guys, huh? :)

  • @tmage01 They have NEVER denied they were HEAVILY influenced by The Beatles. In fact, they claim it proudly. Jesus, what the fuck is everyone's problem? Just enjoy the fuckin music.

  • @romeokid69 Not just the Beatles but also Classical music. The opening and underlying theme of Great Expectations is from a classical piece the name of which I cannot recall at the moment.

  • @romeokid69

Problem? The only problem is your misinterpreting my statement as some sort of derogatory comment. It was a compliment, I'm a lifelong Harrison fan. Take a pill or lay off the caffeine or something.

  • @romeokid69 You are SO right!

  • is that Gene on the cover?

  • Wow, this is good!

  • I love this! It is amazing!

  • I have bought the cd from a kiss catalog before. its just not released all the time. The one i bought came out about the time carnival did

  • you can buy this cd at this record shop by me...its like 14$

  • this reminds me of the beatles

  • kiss won,t release this ,because they would have to pay royalties, isn,t that right gene

  • No, Kiss has released a couple songs from the Wicked Lester sessions on the box set. "She" & "Love her all I can" off the top of my head. Royalties don't really apply because Gene & Paul wrote the brunt of Wicked Lester's original material.

  • and "Leela"

  • @superass113 and some of the other members that were in wicked lester with them passed away.

  • @barclosed Not true. KISS bought the album and rights back.

  • @barclosed I'm not Gene but performance royalty's have already been paid read Genes book

If the want this out they would put it out.

  • @barclosed gene don't care about royalties Kiss makes more money off covers than the originals eg. God Gave Rock N Roll To You

  • Trop bonne s'te toune la !! Kiss devrait retravailler un peuu et la refaire :) !

  • This isnt actually the original version. The version on the album is not sung by Gene. And this song is a cover of the Hollies-I wanna shout.

  • So far as I know, no Wicked Lester version of this song with anyone on vox but Gene exists. Perhaps you're referring to "Too Many Mondays", which was sung by Paul, but on at least one demo Gene sang it?

  • @deuce1231 You are correct.

  • ya your right this isnt the original version

  • Kudos on posting THIS mix of the song...it's not commonly avialable, and though I'm aware of it, I've never heard it before...

  • This is incredible! why wouldn't KISS release this during their 36 almost 37 years in the music buisness? its a nice change and you get to hear Gene singing softly in this. 5/5!

  • Great song, they should do a new version of this one, even if one of the co-writers is Steve Coronell

  • NObody in Wicked LEster wrote this song. It was written by members of The Hollies (post-Graham Nash).

  • He speaks the truth

  • Why do you idiots give a negative rating to a truthful statement? Fucktards...

  • @deuce1231 Yeah just as you say.

Like all do play it the way it ends up with a hit from the beginning. lol those ..tards probably can´t play a tone and sing at same time.

  • Yeah just as you say.
