Is Emma the grandmother of Sydney Bristow?? Notice the instruments of pain ("Truth Be Told"), the black outfit ("The Box II")...The inspiration for "ALIAS"'s Sydney is Emma Peel...,
The delightfully quirky endings sum up the show. You laugh at the flaws, but they add to the program, such as the obvious stuntman in the fight with Gilbert: couldn't they at least get the hair right?
Obvious allusion to lesbianism in Dr Voss's checking EP out and the "Very revealing" comment. I think whoever conceived the Avengers possibly had a Freud fixation and a sense of humour of the Benny Hill brand.
Cargill's tie went all psychedelic when interrogating Mrs Peel.
I bet ( at the beginning of this clip at the " ditch " } the bad guy's phobia was having a bulldozer land on him ! And I like how " Steed " is still so remarkably clean ( not much dirt on him ). Regards.

Silly people. You can't exploit John Steed's fears, because he's not afraid of anything.

Interesting to see Emma dressed more casually in this episode than in most others .... I wonder how many different coloured hats Steed has ?

The tune that starts at 8:00 what is the name?? I've been whistling that tune since childhood. I always think of "Mrs Peel" when I whistle it.

Very ironic episod.
The woman without fear.
Emma said- I have my fear, don't you...
The phrase said Steed has very much liked.
Very ironically.
FOREVER AN OPEN HOUSE.

Yeah this is good but the black and white Emma Peel ones are much better.

I do not think so. I think '67 is the best year. I do love '65 and '66 though.
