I don't know why they keep throwing these things at them. They're pop singers, not Broadway singers. I'm not saying they're not talented, but it takes a very special and rare talent to sing Broadway. Chest voice I believe it's called?

Yes, they are called belter or chest belters - the voice comes from deep within. I think they brought broadway into the theme because a few of the competitors are suited for that style and let's face it, broadway songs are a challange so it really makes them work hard right ? Not everyone is a natural broadway singer like Clay Aiken.

Jason had a hairball caught in his throat this week, well, actually, in my opinion; I believe since Hallelujah, the hairball began growing. And it seems that Brooke must have swallowed said hairball after Jason was able to cough it up--two of the worst performances of the entire season—in my opinion

I was truly shocked that both Carly and Syesha were in the bottom two this week ... I don't get that at all !!!

What is this all about ... if you get too good for the show you are eliminated !!!

Same thing happened with Michael Johns so David Cook should watch out ... if he will be too good again next week he will be out too !!!

(I hope not ... David Cook is my favourite now to win AI this year !!!)

I agree on certain things you said, if they are dorcing elininations that are not accurate then the show is hurting itself.People will not watch it regularly next year.

Michael John's elimination, could very well have been forced for ratings and in David H's case, to get rid of someone they didn't like.

However, Seysha and Carly were great but let's face it, neither have ever been popular, both in the bottom three almost every week or other week since the start. I was not surprised.

Yes I agree that they both are not that popular. I am no particular fan of Syesha either but I do think this week she was in her element. Carly has a great voice but in her case that just wasn't enough I quess ... too bad I liked her.

I wouldn't know who will go next .. maybe Syesha as she has been in the bottom three several times but I would rather see Brooke or Jason leave .. sorry I know you are a fan of Brooke but unless she really is able to shine next week she might be the next one out

No that's fine, everone has their own opinion. I was pretty ticked off when Michael Johns and David H we're elminated, they were my top faves - and ya they can sing. The 2 girls were the best along with the two David's this week that is for sure.

It comes down to a popoularity conest, like Paula Abdul said last night. Brooke & Jason have big fan bases to keep them safe.

How else could it explain Jason being safe this week, he was boring, forgetable and almost miserable on stage?

Jason should have been gone long, long before--weak vocals and Brooke should have been gone after she murdered Jolene. Brooke had one good song--Let ıt Be. Carly should have stayed, but then so should have Kristy Lee and Michael Johns.

sorry...I don't agree with that, because obviously he's made it this far. The judges obviously saw something in him from the beginning, so I don't think talent is the issue. Everyone has different tastes and in my opinion Jason is awesome, distinctive and talented.

I agree, I mean I know it's not easy performing in front of the world but that's why she's there, to win an INTERNATIONAL contract, which means she'll have to be onstage in front of a crowd, but she's jut not bringing it, she should have gone last night. As for Jason Castro, he REALLY needs to go. Honestly, every single one of his performances is a carbon copy of the other, he sits on a stool with the mic or a guitar and sings, no variety, no creativity, no nothing. he needs to be gone.

Jason has had some good nights : Treavllin' Through, Halleluyah, Over The Rainbow. He also hs a strong fan base. I may personally not dig his voice & music or style overall bI did enjoy him those nights - let's be nice , he oviously has fans, he's in the top 5 lol

i think what we have to remeber is that evrey idol is under SO much stress. I think that we should stop giving negative comments and start giving good comments. We all know that no one can beat david cook anymore, but come on lets give them all some credit. Id like to see U get up there.

David Cook will win. Archeleta is too raw and one dimensional. Cooks rich voice and versality is absolutely scintillating. Archeleta peaked at "imagine", but cook peaks every week! From "Hello" to "Eleaneor Rigby" to "Billy Jean" to "Always be my baby" to this one, the guy week by week continues to produce steller performances. Archeleta attracts teenie boppers, but this guy attracts the entire adult world.

I mostly agree, except for Brooke. She hasn't had a good performance for weeks.... she was my favorite initially, but too many weeks of ordinary performances... plus she's too emotional and annoying. She's gotta go.
