I like your frugle set up. It is simple and doesn't cost thousands of dollars like the fancy automatic ones. I am a keep it simple proponent. I have panels on my cabin and I power the entire cabin on 12volts. Because it is simple, inexpensive and I have "ALL" 12 volt appliances !
