  • Thats the wifi adapter or video card

  • How do you take the part of under the keyboard?

  • Sweet! Thank you very much, because I just happened to be taking apart the same model of laptop attempting to do some maintenance on it. :D

  • y would u want 2 take apart a laptop?

  • um i think that thats the video card

  • Darn it :( I'm missin the screwdriver ahhhhhhhh!!!!

  • Its a wifi card you dingdong

  • what do you mean smashing it with a hammer doesnt work?

  • my screws wont go back on... am i fucked?

  • @IAmTheSushiChef not really, just take whatever wont go on, back off and try it again

  • @1:42 that is your Wireless Card

  • haha that's the wifi man

  • I just want to take the back off so I can fix a lose connection that runs to my battery charger.

    Have you ever covered this?

  • @nbelsky

i have dude, if its just loose use a hot glue gun to hold it in place (a nice thick blob that covers all the connectors from your mobo, the glue is none conductive and if u have to remove it, it doesn't actually stick to your mobo but WILL stop it snapping and secure it enough to use comfortably and can be cut from around the connector rather easily if u ever need to remove it, if its snapped then the soldering kit it is :( and i don't recommend doing it if u don't have experience)

  • Just buy a new laptop for goodness sakes

  • OMG thats the same laptop model i found this morning found it on top of the trash

it looks like it still has most of its parts parts that i can use.

  • open up the ram... you have no idea how badly perphrased that was

  • how to take apart an inspiron 17 laptop from 2009 tho not 1909

  • this video is great!! i would have never thought to keep the screws safe i would just throw them in a box.

  • thumbs up if your watching this to get weed out form under your keyboard.

  • I have an HP Netbook, around 2 years old. I have never taken it apart. My CPU is always hot and the fan is always blasting. I'm wondering if I should take it apart to see if I can clean out the dust.

  • KEEP in mind that this wouldent work UNLESS we had EXACTLY the same computer as yours.. som this is farely limited... just a reminder

  • where is the processor?

  • the thing you asked about under that second door is the wifi card

  • Not WiFi... Dail Up Modem. IS what the mystery thing is.

  • Can you dissasemble a thinkpad 365ed?

  • @1zacster yea most likely

  • @feldisownedyou no i meant could you please obtain one and do it XD, its a 14 year old laptop made before computer manufacturuers found out that taking it apart voids the warranty, its almost impossible to take the screeen, keyboard, and cd drive out!

  • @feldisownedyou the thinkpad is a lot harder than a dell trust me

  • Comment removed

  • @1zacster why wouldn't you be able to?

  • thx =)

  • not a (in-spire-on) as u say it dumb fuck. its (in-spur-on)

  • the other thing is probably wireless chip. or graphics card..

  • *shudders* absolutly no anti-static protection... btw at about 2:00 that thing is probably your wifi

  • thanks for the video.

    it was very helpful

  • the thing is a wifi card

  • I took apart my xps m140 last night, and took everything out mobo, cpu, network, ram screen mouse, etc. Have a video for youtube very soon. Using my xps m140 right now.

  • wireless networking card (2:05)

  • only once has the hammer trick work for me

  • oh wow, old school dimm

  • I took one apart in class

  • The second slot your open after the RAM is the laptop wireless network card. That could be a 802.11 a... Those two wires on it are the antennas.

  • I had to take my Inspiron 6000 apart to make some vent holes for the hard drive.

  • lol that "Thing" was your wireless networking card ^^ Nice work mate!

  • i did what i watched here to fix my fan (it was anoying). I fixed it, but my mouse pad lost. Good job anyway dude.

  • LOL I have the exact same laptop as you!

  • that would be the WLAN CARD

  • i rated 5/5 and subscribed wow vid sooo coool

  • trying to replace the Power Jack on the Dell Inspiron 6000. Any suggestions? Im still trying to identify the broker solder. its hard to see

  • try to take a part a HP dv6 pavilion and then you know what is stupid.

  • that was your laptop PCI slot

  • I hit it witha camera, didn't hurt it, and i got it open >:D

  • help!watch my problem my channel

  • that "thing" you didn't know what it was, is called your wifi.

  • @jdudeJmusicAforlifeC you are incorrect it is the wifi internet decoder modem chip

  • or wipe it with software that deletes the memory

  • permanatley

  • ok so the hardrive has memory of past thing and downloads like the hardrive?

  • yes, nothing is perminantly deleted....

u better delete ur porn dude

  • how did you? nevermind

  • lol i have to delete mine to lol

  • youre a chut. your parents should be regretting giving you a laptop. I wish i could open your head like that. seriously.

  • @feldisownedyou

Well it can be deleted.. you have to format the Hard drive which then you will lose all info.

  • @feldisownedyou Well on a ssd if you let the battery die you lose all your data, but 3gbs+ is very tempting

  • @1zacster HDD's are 3gbps... Not even worth buying an SSD unless it's 6gps since that's (hopefully) going to be the new speed standard soon.

Eh, not even worth buying an SSD until the prices drop and space go up. $800 for a 512GB? I'll live another year or two.

  • @mario11168 oh wow you know once ssds are standard computers wont need ram, the ssd will be fast enough that is uneeded, hey even mabie ssds

  • @1zacster And probably slow down the SSD so you don't get the full speed... RAM will probably stay for a while, it has other uses. Even so, as I said before, SSD's right now aren't worth buying. In a year they'll be faster, cheaper, and have more space. But I already said that.

  • hi i want to do something diffrent I m going to assemble totaly complete new laptop . i know how to assemble a pc but i have no idea about laptop will u help me...plz

  • i think to that's a wireless card. there's 2 wires running to it that are probably for the antenna.

  • underneath that plate, when you said you didnt know what it was, it looks to be a network card. probably a wireless card.

  • my laptop can still work if i take the ENTIRE screen and it's parts off of it, right? cuz i got a better monitor and i just wanna get rid of the laptop screen

  • Well, before you take your screen off, you might want to see if your laptop has a video out port, because if it does, you won't need to take off the screen....

And, if you want to use it with a monitor, you'd be better off buying a desktop.

  • is cute

  • allright can i like changemy laptops motherboerd?

  • yea you can, just dont foget how to put it back together

  • actually no you can't

  • @BatDude27 a norma person who understands how much that cost wwwould just buy a new laptop

  • hey, i have a new laptop and im trying yo change the ram... but one of the screws just wont come out... its not striped... idk what to do! can you plz help

  • Thanks. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to take this screen off.

All I have to do now is pin it out and it will be ready for use with a 360.

  • yeah just like "NerdHelpDesk" it's a wireless card if it's the same as mine it is a broadcom bcm94036

  • keep the disk drive! theres a laser in it that you can use.

  • that unknown flap was a wireless card

  • ok thanks..... can i use it on a PC?

  • no....sorry

  • ok... well if u have any more advice just tell me!

  • ive got that exact laptop but i got a killer virus from some game, i dont know. But it had a good 4 years. I'm currently lookin for a new Dell laptop, one idea i got was the XPS M1530 any other suggestions?

  • ...

    ...fag...

if it was fine befor u took it appart then y did u take it appart...

  • ur bionic look how fast u go!!

  • no you can not

  • the thing you dont know wut it is it is the wifi card ok

  • ok thanks

can u use it in a normal pc?

  • No only laptops, my laptops got one also.

  • Yeah, it's a PCI card. You should be able to use it in a PC too, but they usually connect to Wifi via USB 2.0

  • 2:30-250 you went lightning speed! Don't know why people disect their laptops but none the less, great video!
