@DaVictum2125 All of Pete's plug-ins should work with no problem. You need to play with their options. If you still can't resolve it then try the "pSX" emulator.

I have the ePSXe, and it plays [U] type games but it doesnt allow me to play NTSC-U type games, it says error bla blah blah, can yo help me in any way?
For some reason, when I play the game in ePSXe, the sound lacks a bit. In general the sound is normal, but these cool sound effects just make a very quiet little sound. For example, explosions are just little blows and Limit break activation just won't make it sound so limitish. Do you any ways to fix this? There was nothing wrong with the sound in this video...
i love 7, although my favorite ff is 8 because it's my first rpg and first ps game i have played so it's very memorable to me. it's the same as everybody, they fell in love with the first game they played, etc. etc. so don't hate on them for doing so. anyway, i've been stuck in a mountainous area for a while and internet connection is slow as a turtle. been downloading this game for a couple of days already, can't wait to play it again. ;)

This video illustrates one of my beefs with summons in general, which is how relatively weak they are. Three summons just to take out a few Spirals? They show an elaborate animation, then you see the pathetic damage. The whole thing is quite anticlimactic. With the exception of Knights of the Round, I really don't use summons the entire game.
Anyway, if you think the PSX version looks good emulated, then the PC version would knock the socks off your balls as it looks much better still.

The Legend of Dragoons is still best RPG on PS1 and probably one of the best RPG ever released. All of you FF fans should check out LOD. I understand that many of you are conected with FF trough childhood but maybe you are going to change your mind ;) .
Nope. That game was average and slow, although it had a good storyline and plot twists. But the game itself was ripped off from Final Fantasy 7, with clues from the similar soundtrack of its boss battles to FF7's boss battles, a death of a major character, not to mention he was killed by a Sephiroth type character with long silver hair. And Dart's hairstyle is blonde and spiky like Cloud's. Originality suffers from that point, but the battle system was rather unique.

Mac has a PSX emulator but it doesn't support the fancy plug-ins that Windows has. You can get it by going to the #1 Mac emulation site - on Google search for "emuscene"

I have a question. My audio plug-in works for most of my games flawlessly. When I play FF7 or FF8, the sound is decent, but some parts sound weird and not exactly pitched. GFs are a perfect example and they almost sound like cats at times. How do I fix this?

Ok. So I downloaded ePSXe. Downloaded SCPH1001.bin. Put it in the Bios folder. Downloaded the plugins for it that were on your site. I put them in the right folder. I have everything configured and set up like it said in the wizard. Then I downloaded FF7 from EmuParaside. All three disks. (Took for ever. My question is now what? Do I unpack the files and if so where do I put the and how do I do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Actually i found some options to get the battle menu on to work. i tried Petes OpenGL and it displays the game like off in a corner of my screen, its odd. and Petes OpenGl2 wont work at all. also on Petes DX6 D3D Driver 1.77 , i use the game fix but the battle swirl STILL wont appear (only on PEOPS) any suggestions?

The pixelation is supposed to happen because the soft driver does not render 3D to a higher resolution. No other video plugins work? They should. Try downloading video plugins from my website - look in the video's description for the link.
its pretty easy, if your not in full screen then just got to file and change discs if is ISO, or CDROM i bet is ISO tho so yeah, then do the same as if you where loading up your lastrom

There is - read the directions. That is what you have to do if you want to download FF7 for free. If you don't want to do that then go to eBay and buy FF7.

Hey! Thanks for giving me advice for this emulator. I tried it out and it works perfect. But I still have one problem: When I try to configure the controls the system isn't accepting the buttons of my controller that is plugged into the USB Port in my computer. The controller is very similliar to the actual Playstation controller. It works for other games (not in the emulator). Is there anything I can do about that?

No; copies of PS1 games do not work on the PS1 system.
What you can do is look into connecting your computer to the TV and use PS1 emulation to play the game.

Mac has a PSX emulator but it doesn't support the fancy plug-ins that Windows has. You can get it by going to the #1 Mac emulation site - on Google search for "emuscene"

I downloaded the PCSX playstation 1 emulator. I put in my ff7 disc 1, then when to run disk on the PSCX program, and a black screen came up and nothing happened. Any tips or help you could provide? Ive been looking for about an hour now on how to fix or solve this.

christie of u really wanna know an easier way to play ff7 just download it for the pc.they came out with a version for pc awhile after it was released for psx.just download the torrent thats what i did.much easier then doin all that ullshit that comes with setting up an enulator with bios and blah blah.i use the emulator for lunar and a couple other good rpgs that werent remade for the pc.hell they even released a version of ff8 and ff9 on the pc.

It's easy :) Get Pete's OpenGL plug-in, enter its configuration, and choose the "Nice" setting.

ya i did that as well as getting OpenGL2 and ive been screwing around with the settings but for some reason everything still flickers whenever i move and am in combat

I have a question. My audio plug-in works for most of my games flawlessly. When I play FF7 or FF8, the sound is decent, but some parts sound weird and not exactly pitched. GFs are a perfect example and they almost sound like cats at times. How do I fix this?

Ok. So I downloaded ePSXe. Downloaded SCPH1001.bin. Put it in the Bios folder. Downloaded the plugins for it that were on your site. I put them in the right folder. I have everything configured and set up like it said in the wizard. Then I downloaded FF7 from EmuParaside. All three disks. (Took for ever. My question is now what? Do I unpack the files and if so where do I put the and how do I do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yea it look boring because of the horrible PS1graphics... these days if something is not HD whit super high texture and animations details it looks boring... =(. they should make FF7 for DS (If they haven't made it yet)
ho and I can't find Any decent ROMS, Iv'e dowloaded PSX (wich seems to be a good emulator) But I can't find a ROM, and are they suposed to be like 4 GB O_O??)

When FF7 was released its graphics were top notch quality that made everyone piss in their pants when they saw it. This video's description has links to places where you can download PSX ISOs (CD-based games aren't called ROMs).

Actually i found some options to get the battle menu on to work. i tried Petes OpenGL and it displays the game like off in a corner of my screen, its odd. and Petes OpenGl2 wont work at all. also on Petes DX6 D3D Driver 1.77 , i use the game fix but the battle swirl STILL wont appear (only on PEOPS) any suggestions?
sorry for the wall of text but i cant really find a solution anywhere... also, should i post my Specs if itll help?

yeah, i was having graphic problems with FFVII, EVERYTHING works perfect, except the people / monsters look pixilated, i use P.E.Op.S.Soft Driver 1.18 because any other video plugin i use i cant use the battle menu. any ideas of how to fix the problem please?

The pixelation is supposed to happen because the soft driver does not render 3D to a higher resolution. No other video plugins work? They should. Try downloading video plugins from my website - look in the video's description for the link.

its pretty easy, if your not in full screen then just got to file and change discs if is ISO, or CDROM i bet is ISO tho so yeah, then do the same as if you where loading up your lastrom

If you're using ePSXe - press Escape to exit full screen mode, go to File > Change Disc, then return back to the game.

Hiya, i have downloaded final fantasy 7 and have got it all running great, the sound is fine , the graphics are fine and smooth, my problem tho, is that it just loops the intro over and over, soon as the music finishes, the squaresoft logo comes back up and then replays the intro, has anyone else had this problem? any suggestions? Im dying to play this game again, im running epsxe

Hey! Thanks for giving me advice for this emulator. I tried it out and it works perfect. But I still have one problem: When I try to configure the controls the system isn't accepting the buttons of my controller that is plugged into the USB Port in my computer. The controller is very similliar to the actual Playstation controller. It works for other games (not in the emulator). Is there anything I can do about that?
