I clicked not expecting much, but it's actually quite remarkable. Extremely faithful, and while you don't get the sharpness of TH or the contributions of Nona Hendryx or Adrian Belew, it still kicks ass. Go Phish.
Go listen to more radio ignorant homophob. Oh I'm sure TH are so mad that an awesome band is helping to keep their music alive. Also TH gave permission for phish to do it. Step back inside your bubble.
I like both versions; I don't see why everyone needs to go bash the other band because it doesn't sound exactly like their favorite band. I mean, I'm more of a Heads fan but wandered in here to see another rendition of a good song and I like it!
This is my favourite Heads track, I only wanted to see what another band would do with it. Obviously Phish are big Heads fans, too - they've made it really faithful to the gorgeous original, and kudos to them. Well done, I sez! The only thing missing was the amazing guitar solos by Adrian Belew and Eno's sonic magic. A-
I don't see the point. Is this a tribute band or something? Fun to see live but if you're on Youtube why not just search "Talking Heads - Live in Rome 1980 - 11 The Great Curve" for the real thing.
@lippyduck Every year that phish plays a halloween show, they cover an album. in 1996 they picked Remain in the Light. So this is a big deal to phish fans.
@lippyduck It's a Halloween show. Every year that they've toured since 1994, they've kept up the theme of playing 3 sets each Oct. 31, with the middle set always covering an entire album. Sort of a "musical costume" if you will. In '94, it was "The White Album". In '95, it was The Who's "Quadrophenia". In '96 they played this.
@lippyduck only on halloween.. they pick an album that influenced their career and cover it in its full glory all songs from start to finish.. its a 1 off deal never done again.
this and the clifford ball day1 are the 2 best shows ive ever seen! and thats saying something cause ive seen alot not just by this band but lots of others
@jojojigaboo.... You are the one who knows nothing about Music apparently.. Widespread panic sucks ever since Houser passed on!

funny thing - the dumb "phans" think it's the same.
