Playbook App World Proxy Download Trick

Just setting language to English and country to US may do the trick, easy! No proxy needed.

@nasrbalo Yep that works, but if you purchase any app from app store you will have to pay in $'s which might be costly depending on your country. And if any apps get released only for your country it will not be available to you.

The number after ":" is the proxy port.

+ culd u plz also elaborate ur point if turning off the proxy once download begins, as in shall we just uncheck the box or do we hve to save & reconnect aftr tht?...thnx

@shahsahb007 I made an error, once the download finishes you need to uncheck the proxy option.

@LimeTrip unchecking the proxy may not help. I still could not connect to app world. But I solved this by deleting the saved wifi entry and reconnect. Keep up the good work!

Im from Pakistan & used the canada proxy(same as the one u used) but the apps dnt seem to download :s only NFS seemed to download the rest just had those spinning green cir les loading & loading & loading, even whn i downloaded small apps like air browser seperately :s help plz

As fr my net speed is cncrnd i use 1Mbps & get a decent download speed

But the apps still seem to take frevr to download :s

@shahsahb007 The speed depends on the proxy server, I tried installing this app called "Poynt" it took me atleast 12 tries to get it downloaded.

Hey you should make a video showing off the orb launcher application its basically the best app there is

let's you use the orb site's streaming function in a separate app window from the browser to access all your desktop's media and stream it through a flash player online (you have to make an account first and download the software)

I live in Canada and i have been trying to use a proxy in Singapore, so i would be able to download Modern Combat 2 free, (they get it free in Singapore) but it is not working. any ideas?

@Thuggidy Are you sure that MC2 is free in singapore? Its the best game by Gameloft and the most costliest. How can it be free :) Btw i tried sigapore's proxy but its not working.

@XxItzMeAgainxX I use this - it's free - (search for Crackberry Wallpaper Maker, it wouldn't let me leave a link here) It works well. I use it on my PC and email to my Playbook - easy as pie.

@howells4 Thanks for the info, so what is the size that you convert it to? Is it 1024x1024

@LimeTrip After uploading the file and pressing the "Proceeding to step 2" button, all the sizes appear with the appropriate device beside. It's fool proof. To answer your question it is 1024x1024 for the Playbook.
