Too bad someone did not shoot you years ago with that gun you so adamantly protect. But then again you are dead, which means you have cold dead hands. So I guess people can finally take that gun from you or did you believe that the right to bear arms extends to the dead too.
@eohare1000 wow, you are real creative. I guess creative people with your persona have more skill with a gun than the ability to argue their point of view. Well done MacDuff, well done. Your leader would be proud.Oh wait, he's dead.
@assemblyguy you are canadian. one of the most socialist countries in the world, you are one of the BIGGEST anti gun jokers to us americans. you arent a threat to us, we dont fear you, you know why you have gun registration in canada? so when your government wants to prepare to kill you they can disarm you first. kinda like hitler did with the jews. made everyone register their guns, then took them, then killed them. stay out of other countries business canuck. go sip your syrup.
@Mjolnir125 LOL im not even going to carry this conversation on because clearly you think the government is there to help you. and since you arent aware of what the world really is, theres no point, you've been spoon fed lies since the day you were born. have a nice controlled life, slave. ;)
@Grunt922 " you know why you have gun registration in canada? so when your government wants to prepare to kill you they can disarm you first." Even though that was a joke, which I hope it was, I think you are dumb because of just saying that. Anyways don't think I'm going to start a conversation as I do not want to waste my in that, but I only got a little annoyed by your reasoning so I wanted to say that.
@MrAron4 oh on the contrary, that wasnt a joke. look at hitler, pol pot, mao, stalin, gaddafi, all used gun control before they started picking people out and killing them. deny as much as you like, history doesnt lie.
@Grunt922 So what you're implying is that the government of the Canada will go over to be a country of communism? and then start slaughtering innocent people? ...yeah.. no. These slaughters happen, but don't go saying that it will happen in Canada as well. The reasons why it won't happen are many, but I'm too lazy to explain and I don't expect you to understand.
@MrAron4 and you think canada stands for democracy? you really are a sheep arent you? following what evers told to you and not questioning it. canada's run by libtards and we all know what they stand for. total control over people hidden behind lies and they use emotions to push their agenda.
There is no major leak in gun laws or the wrong people ghetting guns. When you go to buy a gun legally, you are checked by the Fed and the local poli9ce for felonies and questioned about substance abuse etc.It actually is pretty involved.
@Tezcatlepocatl but to me it was slightly funny that he'd actually jump on strage and qoute that just to make a point. instead of "Hey these kids got their guns illegally, their parents obiviously didn't check to see if they had or bought this weaponary and it's not the view point of the NRA to own illegal weapons without proper registration, and if you still want to take my gun *insert Cold dead hands here*"
Gun-grabbers don't use or listen to reason and proper arguments. If you go out and give a speech on how you're a law-abiding gun owner and explain your stance on guns in the hands of criminals, kids, etc., they'll simply somehow twist what you said to back their anti-gun agenda.
It's better to just firmly say that you will doggedly defend your rights against all who would try to take them away.
Take over? You mean... all those people (myself included) that immigrated to the US after 1787 have taken over America? You mean that all my friends, neighbors and coworkers of Mexican or Latin American descent are secretly plotting to kill us and not living life as law-abiding, tax-paying citizens?
@Calvarienberg I guess you'll be needing a gun when all those Turks tell you that Germany is 'a Muslim area', bro. So much for Einichkeit und Recht und Freicheit, eh?
@Calvarienberg whats funny is our capital is our only city that has 100% gun control. and its got the highest murder rate of any city. and you talk about violence and your from the country that started both world wars, you have no room at all to talk.
@Calvarienberg a means to defend myself and my family. and anyone who tries to take my guns, or the american peoples guns, will find it very difficult with holes riddling your body. we've had guns for over 200 years and we will have them for another 200. PERIOD.
@Calvarienberg what is it with you euro fags? you call everyone a hick or a redneck and quite frankly its cute XD when only about 3 of our states (of the 50 total states) are rednecks. and a democracy isnt something to be proud of. and i was just saying, before hitler started rounding people up he took their guns so they couldnt defend themselves. same with chairman mao. stalin. pol pot. and so on. you can not have guns , thats fine by me. not my country. but this is my country. and i WILL have-
@Calvarienberg your preaching to the choir. we dont care what you think, its not your country so dont worry about it. and FYI, its so our government cant make us prisoners in our own home. but i know your country knows how that feels eh mein fuhrer?
@islamDick Are you fucking kidding me? You can take my m4-a1 fully automatic rifle from my cold dead hands, and see if you even get 300 yards by me. You're a left wing liberal.
@thepackripper89 Because some people are just too stupid to settle differences peacefully, and anyone disagreeing with them should die, right? Funny, fundamentalist Muslims have the same attitude. You know, those fellows that blew up some of the Pentagon and two rather high buildings. Don't know if you've heard of it.
This video is too short. I wanted to put the whole speech on my Facebook, but the full length video won't let me share. Anybody know of any other full lenghts of this vid? THANKS
Hey all you internet trolls, CH fanboys or antiCH haters dont care which STFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your back and forth is just retarted do any of you think ANYTHING youve typed here has done ANYTHING to further your "cause" or done anything good for ANYONE one way or another.... its just a bunch of pointless drivel from one side or anothers eyes. None of yall are making ANY impact on ANYONE here!!! Your all flying your flags thrashing back and forth on eachother getting NO WHERE
@Quex01-That video has been used countless times by those who dont understand tasers. People like you think "taser=electricity. Taser scary!"
You fail to realise that a taser is a very technologically advanced tool; a very precise tool. Not just a simplified "lightning gun" that you make it out to be.
Not one death has been caused the electrical currents emited by the taser. Fact.
Iam certified by Taser international, i have been shot with a M26 and a X26 multiple times. I know what im saying
@Quex01-What you mean to say is that you wont argue with a person who is well informed on the subject. I crushed your ego with basic knowledge. So whipe your nose, pick up your crayons and go to your room.
@Quex01-Case and point. By calling me an idiot, you are implying that I am intelectually inferior to you. Yet your comments have proven that you are very poorly informed, you create arguments without having firm ground to stand on. Also you resort to insults when you realise that you have been made to look like a fool.
I dont just believe it, i know because you have proven it. You sir are the idiot.
@Quex01-Not exactly. Im just not huge on "internet lingo". Apperantly you are. Anyways...i have work tonight. So im gonna grab some shut eye. I'll be more than willing to flood your inbox with notifications later tonight. Do Zu Strichi!
@Quex01-Hey there you intellectual midget! Its been a whole day without seeing you act like a complete baffoon. Got any more idiocy that you would like to share with the group?
@40thDragonfly Nice thing to say about a man who Walked with Martin Luther King during the civil rights movement. I suppose you think black people are all fucks then? Wow you Australians are a racist bunch, but what can you expect form the descendants of British Prisoners?
@TheCasanovvaa You are taking a very extremist view here. You are jumping to a conclusion; making an assumption that because I don't like a guy who supports the ownership of guns, I am a racist towards black people. I am strongly opposed to anyone being able to own a gun in society. You may say you need a gun to defend yourself. However, you live in quite a society if people require guns to 'feel safe'. The people who support the need for a gun are the 'Fucks' in American society.
@40thDragonfly I do recall you saying he was "The king of all fucks in america" ... you are the one who took an extremist view. Also, what the hell is this "quite society" bullcrap America is not a quite society there a large gap between rich and poor so some people decide to steal shit, hell some decide to break in houses in rape people Living in south texas the drug cartels do this on a daily basis. So yea we like our guns they kind of help us out in these situations.
@TheCasanovvaa Firstly, I said "quite a society", not a "quite society". I was referring to a society where people need to own guns to feel safe and protected. Wouldn't it be better if no one could own a gun? There would be less 'fear' in society about what one neighbour could do to another. I will admit I was a bit extreme in calling him "The King of Fucks". However, I will stand behind the fact that society would have been better of without gun craving fanatics and the NRA, just like him.
@40thDragonfly Some people want to protect themselves and prefer a gun. How will you impose your belief on everyone else, send other people with guns to go get them? Oh yea that wouldn't work since no one can have guns. "Society" will only get better when people like you stop thinking they know what's best for everyone else and just let people live their lives without your intervention.
@vanraizen I understand your point. However, the issue I am raising in that people shouldn't need to feel the necessity to have a gun. Instead of saying we need a gun to protect ourselves, ask who you are protecting yourself from. Why are these "bad" people bad in the first place? America has by far the most shootings per capita, and the NRA is only part of the reason. When people feel it is justified to shoot and kill someone who MAY be threatening, then there is a problem somewhere.
#1: Guns are not just for self defense, they defend our other rights as well.
#2: You would prefer that people simply sacrifice themselves to a larger or more skilled aggressor? "The great equalizer"
#3: Laws do nothing to stop the lawless. They are already ignoring laws against murder and rape.
#4: If you think the US are the only ones with murders and violent crime, you are very delusional. And "gun deaths" alone mean nothing. Replace those with stabbings, abductions, rapes and bludgeonings.
@Txzeenath I am fully aware of your second amendment that allows you to own a gun. I also never stated the US was the "only" country with murders and violent crime. Of course there will be many rapes and stabbings within poorer countries. I am only asking why many people in the US feel a need to own a gun. You may be afraid of home invasion or something of the sort, but other countries seem just fine. In Australia, no one legally owns a gun. We don't have a fear that someone will attack us.
@40thDragonfly How can you understand that there is fear of home invasions, robberies, rapes, and not understand the right to protect one's self? Sure, you could use a knife, but what if your attacker is stronger than you, or has a knife as well, or both? A firearm is the great equalizer. And not only will it protect us from individuals trying to take our belongings, it will also protect us from tyranny, and people wanting to take our liberty. (Or what liberty we have left)
@ChiefsFan581 I am asking why there are so people who are involved with shootings, murders, home invasions, etc. Do you not find it a bit strange that America has so many shootings. Maybe if there were no "free guns" out in shops, people wouldn't be able to shoot each other. The US manages to smash countries like England, Germany and Australia in shootings per capita. Clearly, there is an issue here. Why do Americans shoot each other up so much?
@40thDragonfly I've never seen a shop with "free guns", but I'll bite. More than 80% of all gun crimes in the USA involve firearms that were bought illegally. Sure there are plenty more firearms here, because our country is free in that aspect. If we didn't have all these firearms...let me rephrase, if SOMEHOW all firearms were taken out of the US, there will just be a huge increase in stabbings, killing with blunt objects, etc... (continued)
@40thDragonfly Crime is everywhere, and the best way for someone to protect themselves is to allow them to have weapons. Not to mention our economy at the moment, we have a huge amount of inflation, which causes people to lose hope that they will have enough money to make it to the next paycheck. This correlates directly with mental disabilities, which correlate with crime. In a perfect world, our economy would be perfectly fine, and the crime rate would be way down, even with all our firearms.
@40thDragonfly If someone enters my home, property, or breaks into my vehicle yes I have a problem with it and I am going to blow there fucking head off. Otherwise I would never have need to fire my gun at anyone.
@mercanaries3 Im proud to be a redneck and i thank God everyday that i wasnt born a liberal piece of shit like you or even worse a towel head, mexican or nigger.
@gentleman9876 It's people like yourself that make this planet shit. Please ,if you have kids, raise them right and let them know that the words from some holy book or the trigger of a fucking rifle isn't the be all and end all of every matter or discussion. It starts at home, and I'm not meaning that as an insult. I'm all for freedom of thought but for fuck sake, that#s just daft.
You people that claim that Europe is "dangerous" don`t have a clue!
I have lived in Minneapolis for a year and now I live in a "bad" part of town in southern Germany (not Bavaria). I`ve spent my entire life (except for that year in Minn.) in Germany, know people all around the country (many of whom live in "bad" neighborhoods) and Germany isn`t nearly as dangerous as the US.
You can go anywhere, anytime (as a male person, anyway). I don`t think that applies to the US.
@RandomConcepts AGW legislation is socialism. Actually, it's socialism and utterly retarded based on lies and Al Gore's hot air. Just wait till it turns your country into EU 2.0. You're already on the way there.
I have been an NRA lifetime member for the past five years, I have owned rifles and pistols my entire life, from .22 rifles to the AR-15, in 2008 the Supreme Court ruled that the Second Amendment protects an individual's right to self-defense and gun ownership, end of discussion. R.I.P. Charlton Heston.
@essanay45 you sir are the asshole. it's the second ammendments guaranteed right to guns and the idea of using weapons to preserve liberty that allows you to say what you said. Without guns this country would not be here and without guns this country can not stay here. So it's your choice, allow the american people to keep guns and keep safe, or let the rest of the world slaughter us like they want.
@essanay45 Cute, you have no argument. That's so typical for you libs. You really should take a trip through Europe. Not tourist Europe, mind you. The real Europe. With skyrocketting crime rates, criminally high taxes and ever shrinking civil rights. The cases of guns used for self defense are going up up and away in some EU countries. Criminals can always access guns. An AK47 goes for ~300 Euro in the Amsterdam black market. You disarm the people, you create more unnecessary victims.
@higuma75 I'm European. You truly have no clue what the hell you're talking about. I would love to see where you have your information from, because it sure as hell isn't true. The tourist Europe, that anyone would see, is the real Europe. I agree, if you go to Eastern European countries, chances are you're fucked, since they mean business there. But tourists don't do that, and every single Western European country has none of these made-up problems you so happily lie about.
@higuma75 Germany is a country of 80 million people, and I dare say that statistically, you Americans are far ahead, with the assaults. Did you know that 85% of all of the serial killers in the world stem from the US? Not to mention your criticism of the civil rights and the taxes. Civil rights are quite the bit better in Europe than in USA. If there was lots of space, I'd give you several links, but you can google this yourself without problems. Life quality is also better in Europe.
@essanay45 The official police stats from Germany talk about how every 4 minutes a woman is assaulted in Germany. In Scandinavia rape is so common by now, that Swedish women designed a "chastity belt", since it's essentially the only way they have to defend themselves when attacked. Police in some countries tells citizens to cooperate with the criminal or run away. That's what happens when you disarm the law abiding citizens.
@higuma75 Especially in Scandinavia, life qualities are so much better on average than the life quality of Americans, that one might think it had something to do with the high tax rates (which I will stand by every single day of my life, I come from Denmark where taxes are 40-60%), that enable the government to help EVERYONE, not like in the US, or perhaps the widespread atheism? Did you know that Denmark is statistically the happiest country on earth?
@TausMunk Will you compare immigration policies in Denmark and USA? The US population grows by 3 million a year, because the government prefers to protect borders only in Asia. So it only takes 3 years for USA to add as many new people as those living in Sweden. By the way, Switzerland has much lower taxes than scandinavian countries (the maximum federal income tax rate is around 11%) and they enjoy the lowest unemployment, poverty and crime rates in Europe. Oh, and they love guns too
@xaviqaz I'm not quite sure why immigration is particularly relevant, to be fair. Sure you may add more people to your population per year, but they're still worse off than the average Swede or Dane. Also, about Switzerland, I dare say my original argument was about how Scandinavia > USA (in terms of life qualities, anyway), not how Scandinavia>Switzerland. My point was also how higher tax rates don't decrease life qualities, the way the average moron Dixie would think.
@TausMunk In Denmark you have Pia Kjaersgaard. In USA if anyone dares to discuss the birthright citizenship (even if both parents are in the country illegally) he is labelled a racist. That´s a huge cultural difference. How many illegals reside in Denmark? In Arizona (6.5 million inhabitants) there are 400 thousand illegals. Not relevant? If you allow many poor or non qualified people to come in, don´t expect them to not go on welfare.
@xaviqaz Pia K is labelled a racist by 90% of the population. The last 10% are elderly people who are too conservative to figure out change, and people with another skin colour = weird, odd, and not something you often saw when they were young. I still don't see how this discussion is relevant to the discussion about life qualities. I see your point, no doubt about that, but I fail to see which side of the fence you're on, and I fail to see where you're going with it.
@TausMunk Try to answer this honestly: How many votes would Ms. Pia get if 30 or 40% of danish population had non-european roots? The same question goes for France and Le Pen, Austria and Strache, Netherlands and Wilders, etc They would probably win general elections. That´s my point. Europe and United States are both considered the West but the fundamentals are not so similar.
@xaviqaz Of course i don´t mean this 30-40% as a consequence of a long spontaneous process that would take centuries. But as a consequence of mass immigration and low birth rates among natives and multikulti ideals encouraging newcomers to build parallel societies/ghettos. In USA if immigrants build their communities with their language and habits it is usually not considered wrong. While in Europe moderates like Cameron, Sarko and Merkel have publicly stated that cultural assimilation is a must
@TausMunk Old people or not, the DF is gaining votes at the expense of social democrats. Isn´t it true? Denmark, Sweden and Finland seemed that they were going to have social democratic governments forever, but now they have lost several elections in a row and there is a parlamentary far right.
@TausMunk And my point is that low taxes (Switzerland) don´t decrease life qualities either. If life quality means low poverty and crime rates (among others), i would say that US states are much closer to european rates when they are whiter and farer from mexican border. Sorry if this sounds politically incorrect but reality usually does.
@xaviqaz Right, were to begin. Okay, about Pia K: I honestly can't tell if they would win general elections or not, because the Danes are quite ethnocentric, and this could possibly make other ethnicities forget their "roots" if you will. It would mostly depend on the development of the Danish culture, to be honest, and I'm definitely not the one to discuss the future development of any culture. Not my thing.
@xaviqaz Apropros of cultural assimilation: I can't help but to agree with Sarko, Merkel and Cameron. The issues we experience with (mostly) Muslims are massive, simply because some families send their children to what they call "re-parenting/upbringing" (excuse the direct translation, I am not familiar with the English term). This makes the children hostile to Denmark (a random example), and makes them completely worthless in Danish society.
@TausMunk I agree with Sarkozy, Merkel and Cameron on multiculturalism too. They have also stated that there should not be unlimited government resources for what Cameron calls "economic immigration" (aka poor low qualified immigration). Don´t ever expect a US mainstream politician to say that kind of things in public.
@xaviqaz While yes, integration is the more politically correct thing to do, it is also the far more difficult thing to do. I am for a compromise between assimilation and integration, some middle ground, perhaps. Something that would make EVERY Muslim as productive as the other immigrants. Don't get me wrong though, I am well aware that Muslims aren't the only ones causing trouble, and I am also well aware that is it only some that cause the problems, not all.
@xaviqaz About whether DF is gaining votes.. I'm not quite sure about that. DF is in our government because the liberal (not really liberal, every political party is more or less a center party in Denmark, but they're slightly more to the right) parties needed some more votes to win the election. Currently every poll shows that the social democratic and just social parties stand to win the next election. There's not much doubt about it.
@xaviqaz Now still, I don't completely recall the discussion, but I'm quite certain I was arguing, simply, that the typical American "SOCIALISM IS EVIL" bullshit is... well bullshit. It's propaganda fed from the top for decades, just look at some of the commercials from the 50's. It's scary how manipulating they are, and how obvious the propaganda is. Several US politicians still say that free healthcare is the trademark of a communist state. THIS was what I was trying to argue against.
@TausMunk I think many americans tend to distrust the federal government, not any public funded program "per se". Anyway, they have a huge socialist program called defense budget that sustains many millions of jobs.
@xaviqaz I partially agree. The reason they fear the socialistic means of making the nation better, then, if you will, the socialistic method, is because they've been brainwashed by propanda for decades to do so. This cannot be discussed, not at all. 9/10 of every American I've ever spoken to have at least thought some ill thoughts of Denmark when I told them that our government was mostly socialistic. The Americans have been brainwashed to shun all socialism, because "IT IS COMMUNISM!".
@TausMunk I don´t think americans distrust publicly funded programs as much as distrust the central/federal government. The second is part of american DNA, in my opinion
@TausMunk Well, the Heritage Foundation is a libertarian republican-leaning US think tank, and they consider Denmark one of the 10 most free economies in the world. So not everybody thinks Denmark is a socialist paradise ;-)
@TausMunk Of course it has a lot to do. Since a welfare state (which you seem to identify with the quality of life) is very expensive and has its limits.
@xaviqaz Certainly. Every ideology has it's flaws, if not, we'd all be living in the Utopia as Marx or some other philosopher described it. The Nordic countries are, however, all on the top 5-10 when it comes to nearly every life-quality statistical analysis, and I would argue that that, is at least partially connected to the way the country is run. I do not think that a welfare state using the Universal model = the only way to increase life qualities, but I do think that (cont.)
@TausMunk from a David Cameron speech 3 months ago: “migrants are filling gaps in the labour market left wide open by a welfare system that for years has paid British people not to work. Put simply, we will never control immigration properly unless we tackle welfare dependency.” continues...
@TausMunk (cont) “When there have been significant numbers of new people arriving in neighbourhoods, perhaps not able to speak the same language as those living there, on occasions not really wanting or even willing to integrate, that has created a kind of discomfort and disjointedness in some neighbourhoods. This has been the experience for many people in our country and I believe it is untruthful and unfair not to speak about it and address it."
@xaviqaz (cont.) ... that it at least is a step in the right direction. Solidarity has always been the way forth, if you ask me. It's more... humane. And it's definitely a more noble 'driving force' than greed and selfishness, which the liberal welfare system thinks more important.
@TausMunk As i said before, solidarity through state coercion only works if the community is relatively homogeneous both economic and culturally. That´s why i insisted on the different immigration approach in both sides of the Atlantic. The US population growth (+90 million in last three decades) doesn´t look european at all, not even comparable with other first world countries.
@higuma75 The claim about chastity belts is a lie as well. I encourage you to enlighten yourself about Europe before you start trash talking it. Especially when several countries in Western Europe (as well as all the Scandinavian countries) have been ahead of USA for at least 10-15 years in terms of life qualities, freedom and much more. This hate you have towards Liberals is quite silly, since you simply just have different views on how to lead your country. Why not find a compromise?
@TausMunk I live in Vejle Denmark for 2 years 16-18 with my Uncle when my parents died . I can tell you this much the danish mixed capitalist welfare state system will NOT work in america. The culture is too different. Danes are not nearly as focused on material wealth as american are the system would be taken advantage of and go bankrupt just look at our social programs already. Yes, I agree with you Europe>America. But what works there will not work here.

@Tezcatlepocatl but to me it was slightly funny that he'd actually jump on strage and qoute that just to make a point. instead of "Hey these kids got their guns illegally, their parents obiviously didn't check to see if they had or bought this weaponary and it's not the view point of the NRA to own illegal weapons without proper registration, and if you still want to take my gun *insert Cold dead hands here*"
PSNGreyLynx 4 months ago
@PSNGreyLynx

You fail to realise that a taser is a very technologically advanced tool; a very precise tool. Not just a simplified "lightning gun" that you make it out to be.
Not one death has been caused the electrical currents emited by the taser. Fact.

40thDragonfly 8 months ago
@40thDragonfly Nice thing to say about a man who Walked with Martin Luther King during the civil rights movement. I suppose you think black people are all fucks then? Wow you Australians are a racist bunch, but what can you expect form the descendants of British Prisoners?
TheCasanovvaa 8 months ago
@TheCasanovvaa You are taking a very extremist view here. You are jumping to a conclusion; making an assumption that because I don't like a guy who supports the ownership of guns, I am a racist towards black people. I am strongly opposed to anyone being able to own a gun in society. You may say you need a gun to defend yourself. However, you live in quite a society if people require guns to 'feel safe'. The people who support the need for a gun are the 'Fucks' in American society.
40thDragonfly 8 months ago
@40thDragonfly I do recall you saying he was "The king of all fucks in america" ... you are the one who took an extremist view. Also, what the hell is this "quite society" bullcrap America is not a quite society there a large gap between rich and poor so some people decide to steal shit, hell some decide to break in houses in rape people Living in south texas the drug cartels do this on a daily basis. So yea we like our guns they kind of help us out in these situations.
TheCasanovvaa 8 months ago
@TheCasanovvaa Firstly, I said "quite a society", not a "quite society". I was referring to a society where people need to own guns to feel safe and protected. Wouldn't it be better if no one could own a gun? There would be less 'fear' in society about what one neighbour could do to another. I will admit I was a bit extreme in calling him "The King of Fucks". However, I will stand behind the fact that society would have been better of without gun craving fanatics and the NRA, just like him.
40thDragonfly 8 months ago
@40thDragonfly Some people want to protect themselves and prefer a gun. How will you impose your belief on everyone else, send other people with guns to go get them? Oh yea that wouldn't work since no one can have guns. "Society" will only get better when people like you stop thinking they know what's best for everyone else and just let people live their lives without your intervention.
vanraizen 8 months ago
@vanraizen I understand your point. However, the issue I am raising in that people shouldn't need to feel the necessity to have a gun. Instead of saying we need a gun to protect ourselves, ask who you are protecting yourself from. Why are these "bad" people bad in the first place? America has by far the most shootings per capita, and the NRA is only part of the reason. When people feel it is justified to shoot and kill someone who MAY be threatening, then there is a problem somewhere.
40thDragonfly 8 months ago
#1: Guns are not just for self defense, they defend our other rights as well.
#2: You would prefer that people simply sacrifice themselves to a larger or more skilled aggressor? "The great equalizer"
#3: Laws do nothing to stop the lawless. They are already ignoring laws against murder and rape.
#4: If you think the US are the only ones with murders and violent crime, you are very delusional. And "gun deaths" alone mean nothing. Replace those with stabbings, abductions, rapes and bludgeonings.
Txzeenath 8 months ago
@Txzeenath I am fully aware of your second amendment that allows you to own a gun. I also never stated the US was the "only" country with murders and violent crime. Of course there will be many rapes and stabbings within poorer countries. I am only asking why many people in the US feel a need to own a gun. You may be afraid of home invasion or something of the sort, but other countries seem just fine. In Australia, no one legally owns a gun. We don't have a fear that someone will attack us.
40thDragonfly 8 months ago
@40thDragonfly How can you understand that there is fear of home invasions, robberies, rapes, and not understand the right to protect one's self? Sure, you could use a knife, but what if your attacker is stronger than you, or has a knife as well, or both? A firearm is the great equalizer. And not only will it protect us from individuals trying to take our belongings, it will also protect us from tyranny, and people wanting to take our liberty. (Or what liberty we have left)
ChiefsFan581 8 months ago
@ChiefsFan581 I am asking why there are so people who are involved with shootings, murders, home invasions, etc. Do you not find it a bit strange that America has so many shootings. Maybe if there were no "free guns" out in shops, people wouldn't be able to shoot each other. The US manages to smash countries like England, Germany and Australia in shootings per capita. Clearly, there is an issue here. Why do Americans shoot each other up so much?
40thDragonfly 8 months ago
@40thDragonfly I've never seen a shop with "free guns", but I'll bite. More than 80% of all gun crimes in the USA involve firearms that were bought illegally. Sure there are plenty more firearms here, because our country is free in that aspect. If we didn't have all these firearms...let me rephrase, if SOMEHOW all firearms were taken out of the US, there will just be a huge increase in stabbings, killing with blunt objects, etc... (continued)
ChiefsFan581 8 months ago
@40thDragonfly Crime is everywhere, and the best way for someone to protect themselves is to allow them to have weapons. Not to mention our economy at the moment, we have a huge amount of inflation, which causes people to lose hope that they will have enough money to make it to the next paycheck. This correlates directly with mental disabilities, which correlate with crime. In a perfect world, our economy would be perfectly fine, and the crime rate would be way down, even with all our firearms.

You disarm the people, you create more unnecessary victims.
higuma75 9 months ago
@higuma75 I'm European. You truly have no clue what the hell you're talking about. I would love to see where you have your information from, because it sure as hell isn't true. The tourist Europe, that anyone would see, is the real Europe. I agree, if you go to Eastern European countries, chances are you're fucked, since they mean business there. But tourists don't do that, and every single Western European country has none of these made-up problems you so happily lie about.
TausMunk 9 months ago
@higuma75 Germany is a country of 80 million people, and I dare say that statistically, you Americans are far ahead, with the assaults. Did you know that 85% of all of the serial killers in the world stem from the US? Not to mention your criticism of the civil rights and the taxes. Civil rights are quite the bit better in Europe than in USA. If there was lots of space, I'd give you several links, but you can google this yourself without problems. Life quality is also better in Europe.
TausMunk 9 months ago
@higuma75 The most gun friendly european country happens to be the one with the lowest crime rates: Switzerland.
xaviqaz 7 months ago
@essanay45 The official police stats from Germany talk about how every 4 minutes a woman is assaulted in Germany. In Scandinavia rape is so common by now, that Swedish women designed a "chastity belt", since it's essentially the only way they have to defend themselves when attacked. Police in some countries tells citizens to cooperate with the criminal or run away. That's what happens when you disarm the law abiding citizens.
higuma75 9 months ago
@higuma75 there is no fucking chasity belt, you hear that from some crazy person.
anyway, its true that Sweden has taken the lead in raps in europe, however, even the police admitted thats because of immigration and in the ghettos.
quezcatol 9 months ago
@higuma75 Especially in Scandinavia, life qualities are so much better on average than the life quality of Americans, that one might think it had something to do with the high tax rates (which I will stand by every single day of my life, I come from Denmark where taxes are 40-60%), that enable the government to help EVERYONE, not like in the US, or perhaps the widespread atheism? Did you know that Denmark is statistically the happiest country on earth?
TausMunk 9 months ago
@TausMunk Will you compare immigration policies in Denmark and USA? The US population grows by 3 million a year, because the government prefers to protect borders only in Asia. So it only takes 3 years for USA to add as many new people as those living in Sweden. By the way, Switzerland has much lower taxes than scandinavian countries (the maximum federal income tax rate is around 11%) and they enjoy the lowest unemployment, poverty and crime rates in Europe. Oh, and they love guns too
xaviqaz 7 months ago
@xaviqaz I'm not quite sure why immigration is particularly relevant, to be fair. Sure you may add more people to your population per year, but they're still worse off than the average Swede or Dane. Also, about Switzerland, I dare say my original argument was about how Scandinavia > USA (in terms of life qualities, anyway), not how Scandinavia>Switzerland. My point was also how higher tax rates don't decrease life qualities, the way the average moron Dixie would think.
TausMunk 7 months ago
@TausMunk In Denmark you have Pia Kjaersgaard. In USA if anyone dares to discuss the birthright citizenship (even if both parents are in the country illegally) he is labelled a racist. That´s a huge cultural difference. How many illegals reside in Denmark? In Arizona (6.5 million inhabitants) there are 400 thousand illegals. Not relevant? If you allow many poor or non qualified people to come in, don´t expect them to not go on welfare.
xaviqaz 7 months ago
@xaviqaz Pia K is labelled a racist by 90% of the population. The last 10% are elderly people who are too conservative to figure out change, and people with another skin colour = weird, odd, and not something you often saw when they were young. I still don't see how this discussion is relevant to the discussion about life qualities. I see your point, no doubt about that, but I fail to see which side of the fence you're on, and I fail to see where you're going with it.
TausMunk 7 months ago
@TausMunk Try to answer this honestly: How many votes would Ms. Pia get if 30 or 40% of danish population had non-european roots? The same question goes for France and Le Pen, Austria and Strache, Netherlands and Wilders, etc They would probably win general elections. That´s my point. Europe and United States are both considered the West but the fundamentals are not so similar.
xaviqaz 7 months ago
@xaviqaz Of course i don´t mean this 30-40% as a consequence of a long spontaneous process that would take centuries. But as a consequence of mass immigration and low birth rates among natives and multikulti ideals encouraging newcomers to build parallel societies/ghettos. In USA if immigrants build their communities with their language and habits it is usually not considered wrong. While in Europe moderates like Cameron, Sarko and Merkel have publicly stated that cultural assimilation is a must
xaviqaz 7 months ago
@TausMunk Old people or not, the DF is gaining votes at the expense of social democrats. Isn´t it true? Denmark, Sweden and Finland seemed that they were going to have social democratic governments forever, but now they have lost several elections in a row and there is a parlamentary far right.
xaviqaz 7 months ago
@TausMunk And my point is that low taxes (Switzerland) don´t decrease life qualities either. If life quality means low poverty and crime rates (among others), i would say that US states are much closer to european rates when they are whiter and farer from mexican border. Sorry if this sounds politically incorrect but reality usually does.
xaviqaz 7 months ago
@xaviqaz Right, were to begin. Okay, about Pia K: I honestly can't tell if they would win general elections or not, because the Danes are quite ethnocentric, and this could possibly make other ethnicities forget their "roots" if you will. It would mostly depend on the development of the Danish culture, to be honest, and I'm definitely not the one to discuss the future development of any culture. Not my thing.
TausMunk 7 months ago

xaviqaz 7 months ago
@xaviqaz Apropros of cultural assimilation: I can't help but to agree with Sarko, Merkel and Cameron. The issues we experience with (mostly) Muslims are massive, simply because some families send their children to what they call "re-parenting/upbringing" (excuse the direct translation, I am not familiar with the English term). This makes the children hostile to Denmark (a random example), and makes them completely worthless in Danish society.
TausMunk 7 months ago
@TausMunk I agree with Sarkozy, Merkel and Cameron on multiculturalism too. They have also stated that there should not be unlimited government resources for what Cameron calls "economic immigration" (aka poor low qualified immigration). Don´t ever expect a US mainstream politician to say that kind of things in public.
xaviqaz 7 months ago
@xaviqaz While yes, integration is the more politically correct thing to do, it is also the far more difficult thing to do. I am for a compromise between assimilation and integration, some middle ground, perhaps. Something that would make EVERY Muslim as productive as the other immigrants. Don't get me wrong though, I am well aware that Muslims aren't the only ones causing trouble, and I am also well aware that is it only some that cause the problems, not all.
TausMunk 7 months ago
@xaviqaz About whether DF is gaining votes.. I'm not quite sure about that. DF is in our government because the liberal (not really liberal, every political party is more or less a center party in Denmark, but they're slightly more to the right) parties needed some more votes to win the election. Currently every poll shows that the social democratic and just social parties stand to win the next election. There's not much doubt about it.
TausMunk 7 months ago
@xaviqaz Now still, I don't completely recall the discussion, but I'm quite certain I was arguing, simply, that the typical American "SOCIALISM IS EVIL" bullshit is... well bullshit. It's propaganda fed from the top for decades, just look at some of the commercials from the 50's. It's scary how manipulating they are, and how obvious the propaganda is. Several US politicians still say that free healthcare is the trademark of a communist state. THIS was what I was trying to argue against.
TausMunk 7 months ago
@TausMunk I think many americans tend to distrust the federal government, not any public funded program "per se". Anyway, they have a huge socialist program called defense budget that sustains many millions of jobs.
xaviqaz 7 months ago

@xaviqaz Eh.. are you contradicting yourself here? They say they're free, so that means they're definitely not considered free?
