The best time (at least on papers) of all time. Had they played the barcelona style and with a better teamwork, they would have won lots of major tropjies. @MegaZidane23 I've been a fan basically my whole life as well. You can't just expect for them to keep a team. Eventually they were going to get old (which they did.) They weren't on the required level of being a Madrid player is all about. The best thing to do was sell them.

What a fabulous team this was. However, the current Perez strategy is unlikely to bring overnight sucess. The 'Galacticos' was built on a great foundation, some of whom had been there for quite a few years, eg Carlos, Salgado, Raul, makelele. Madrid don't have a great foundation now, unlike Barcelona.
