  • H.I.D for the win! Should a person install H.I.D in a non-projector head light?

  • @SIRDANTASTIC From the research I've done, no. Get the housing for HID lights, not just the bulb. Halogen lights are encased in a reflective housing that's meant to amplify the light emitted. If you put a HID bulb in a halogen housing, the light will be reflected and become BLINDINGLY bright. Oncoming traffic will pretty much think you have your brights on.

  • @SIRDANTASTIC under no circumstances, ever.

  • @ObeseChess

as i pointed out to sir it depends

Yes projectors are best for HIDs but if you must have a special reflective one made for HIDs.

If your car didn't come with HIDs don't upgrade to them.

  • @IIGrayfoxII you're preaching to the choir. :)

  • @SIRDANTASTIC

    Well it depends

The Honda Civic Si FK2(european hatchback) has HID and it doesn't use a projector system, but it has a reflective system that is designed for HIDs.

    Plus you also need

    Auto Leveling system

    Headlight washers

  • Yeah but you cant use the HIDs highbeams as a turnsignal.

    :)

  • Got haich.I.V?
