  • Hi Dom, great videos.

just some questions, are you in Manual or Aperture mode?

You have so low lighting, whats you camera settings? Thanks a lot Sir!

  • holy fock. cute nipples.

  • haha ball balls

  • Well done Dominik, good video like always. Today i got same lens Tokina 11-16 2.8, it looks like you were using tokina one, right? :)

  • Jenna Is a Hotty and the Shoot is awesome Thanks man

  • Cool vid:)

Were you able to use autofocus? or did you manual focus? Thanks!

  • theres nothing to focus on, its pitch black in there ! so manual offcourse

  • the camera if you put it into single focus mode (ie not manual or continioous) it putsout a light which the camera then focuses with.

    so no, not manual focus.

  • Great video dom you are the best good too see some videos from you

    Merry Christmas

  • @rickjbradbury : 7D has something similar to nikons commander mode. But still, it's bit expensive camera :).

Dom, nice choice with the music. Electric Six rule! :)

  • Thanks Dom.

  • For someone with no formal training Dom, I find your stuff amazing!!! Whats your secret..?

    Regards Paul

  • my secret is never having any formal training. i do it for the love of doing it not because i have to pass a course or practice a teaching.

  • My work is not so glamourous as your above video, tends to be Track Safety stuff for Network Rail ect :-(

  • How did you learn to do all the stuff yourself?

Book? The web? Just shooting pictures?

You see I just got myself a mid level DSLR and I have to do a wedding in a few months. I don't want to take classes.

  • just got a dslr and doing a wedding? weddings are one of the most difficult photography practices there is! are you the only photograher? are you going to be organising the group shots and controling the ushers and guests? do you have backup plans for bad weather, tight locations. failed memory cards? best of luck!

  • Well I've worked with SLR's before, this is my first digital (auto mode haha).

And it isn't really a wedding, it's a relatives after party for us relatives in the east coast, they had the wedding in cali.

I'm going in there with a normal 18-55mm and a 70-250mm. Two (or one) umbrella stands, flash. Two memory cards, an extra battery and a charger so I can alternate if needed.

Location is a well lit ballroom. I don't think it's going to be too difficult, like inside a church or something.

  • @Koroush51 Wow. If you are the primary photographer you are taking on a *huge* responsibility. Are you being paid to do this? There are few do-overs and your clients will expect a lot more than just snapshots. As dombower pointed out, wedding photography is a highly specialized field, and there are a bazillion details to be aware of. For your and your clients' sake, I hope you will be prepared. Good luck.

  • You must be online right now.

Great post! You're the man Dom.

Thanks for all you have done as it has been a great help and even more important, inspiring.

  • great stuff Dom.. i have just picked up my first flash gun Canon 430EXII with some wireless triggers and can't wait to get to grips with it. One disadvantage of the Canon system is no TTL off camera with out expensive 580EX or flash controller..so all manual for now.

Have a great crimbo and new year,

    Rick

  • thanks man.

    merry xmas to you too.
