There didn't really seem to be any effect to earth--which is a good thing...But I'm just wondering if it wasn't directed towards earth, or if the effects were just negligable?

ok, i get that the white circle shows the circumference of the sun. and the flares do look very violent. but why the color circle blot outside of the white one that seems to cover up so much extra?

@fenderjbass4. That is put over the sun so it can stop the glare. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to view nothing.

I have been wondering what the snow was all about? Are you sure its the protons because other X flares on Soho didnt have the snow and other times there is no flare and those white objects are everywhere.....that to me is inconsistent??
