  • What a wonderful video! Great Job and thank you for brining awareness to this! A lot of times this is used a "throw away" diagnosis and that is terrible! AWESOME JOB! may all that are affected be blessed with peace and comfort!

  • Thank you for putting this video together. I'm very fortunate that everyone in my support network (including my doctor) fully believes in FM, but a lot of other sufferers aren't as lucky. Peace.

  • thank you for posting this video.

  • Mark Emmins is Due to release a single " MISSUNDERSTOOD" to help raise awareness .. look out for it .. its a heart hitting song !

  • Well done - thank you for making this video.

For those with FM and other "invisible illness" - try to find moments each day to self-soothe if possible.

I listen to meditative music and now have a pajama wardrobe :) - laughter helps me too!

    Best wishes to all.

  • Thanks for this video, Purpleflyer! This is one of the best I've seen for fibro awareness. It's very inspiring!

Curlyperm2: My understanding is that fibromyalgia has been around for a long, long time, but it was never recognized because it's only physical manifestations are neurochemical. Even after researches were able to detect neurological causes for things better, fibro wasn't considered for a long time because it had been discounted by the medical community. Finally, a cause is found.

  • is funny how this fibromyalgia, like cancer and other new diseases were hardly heard of years ago....maybe its all the crap they are putting in our food, like aspartame...GMOs...Flouride in the water...ect....

And also all these vaccinations we have had since a child...they have increased greatly...im just thinking there could be a link???...

i have had FM since a child!!!!

  • i have 28 of those symptoms and doctors just tell me that It is all in my head. nice to see some people trying to find a cause

  • having this since 13 years old sucks.

I'm 16 now *recently diagnosed* and it sucks to think that I'll be ill more in my life than I will be healthy. I hate this disease. It's ruined my life.

Only when we are taken seriously, will we ever get the help we need.

  • This video say's it all. I am 47 and nothing seems to help.. I felt like I was losing my mind also. It is hard to explain how this disease takes over your Life.I have had a hard time coping but, with a wonderful Husband's support it helps. We try and grab every good minute we can.

I don't know what I would do without his support.

  • Thanks for the excellent video. I agree that people often dont understand it, and dont take it seriously. Its difficult not to get bitter and angry about the whole thing. Videos and articles like this help ALOT. Thanks, and good luck to anyone who is experiencing these symptoms.

  • Fantastic video! Thanks for doing this! I have posted it on my facebook profile to try and make friends understand why ive been down recently, since having a flare up! I have had fibro now for 2 yrs,im a single parent to a very active 7 year old,and after giving up work 2 yrs ago,i have recently gone back to college, only PT to get me out the same 4 walls,it dosent take the illness away, but i guess we still have to try and get on with it!We just HAVE to cope,Love to anyone who`s suffering xx

  • Hey, Im 20 and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue after 2years of going through every other test known to man. It really really sux!! I cant work anymore or do anything. Ive had to give up on all the things I love doing. Im useless and no one listens or takes me seriously. My medication makes me unco and people laugh at me when I walk into things. I feel hopeless, I dont know what to do anymore. I cry everyday.. I want to work, I want to do the things I love. I Dont want to be sick!

  • I love this video. Im 38 and have fibro for about 6 yrs now. I lost my good job as a loan processor at a bank.

There are things you can do for it. Pain meds, getting exercise, walking is best for me.

I have been tring to get back to work part time now for 2 yrs with no luck, so I started college for graphic design. Im taking 2 classes this semester. Hopefully I can work from home when i graduate..... work around the rare times i get a "major" flare up.

  • Thanks for the vid, my mum has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and i have exactly the same symptoms. unfortunately though the doctor constantly puts it down to my weight which is ridiculous to be disregarded for this reason. Think i may go back and give them a mouthful now! Many thanks

  • Yes! go back and give them a mouthful, they need to be educated on this disease! The more we stand up to them and tell them about it the more people will start to take this disease seriously! Good luck to you and your mum!

  • We need to get on a show that will acknowledge what this is all about, I have every symptom mentioned in your video, it goes through the whole body. I go to the hospital and they thing I' m crazy, or a drug addict that wants another fix, when I don't even want to take any meds at all because of the way it makes me feel. Thank you for the video...Let's hope that help comes for us soon.

  • I have fibro as well, I was diagnosed when i was seventeen, I started 100mg morphenes and became severly incompasitated. Now I'm a medical marijuana patient with an authorization for medical marijuana from my primary care doctor, nothing else has helped at all! My family dosn't understand or care enough to take the time to understand.

  • Hey hi I want to thank you for this video. I'm positive now that I have this 'syndrome'(?) My doctor told me two years ago. And latley I'm having such odd systoms and now thanks to you and others I realize that I'm NOT losing my mind. I could have written the book on these symtoms I've had several since I was a CHILD! I'm digging for answers but strangely I don't feel desperate...I don't know maybe it's because I am so used to it. (ps) the music was good but >> it hurt my head because of FMS~!

  • Your Wrong people...

    It is a Disease...

    It distroys all of you...

The only symtom I didn't see is the headaches

    The terrible headaches..with blood..

as I throw up-toss my cookies

a nice way 2 say it..

And with the headache is the total body shut down..where I can't move even my head...Lane*

  • Its not a Disease, Its a syndrome.. apparently. Dammit I wish there was one definition we could all look too and we could all get better. I hate it, I hate it!!!

  • The perfect song..to a disturbing disease

I'm taking care of 2 lil ones

What about them..it's not fair to them

    I'm a cripple..I finally said it..it's true

    It's true..I'm fucking not ok

    I hurt everyday

I have all symtoms you show but around 2

Blood comes out of me when I have a headache

    once a month

    I feel like I'm DYING..I probably am..Lane*

  • THANK you for putting this video out! I know I am not alone...although it feels like it sometimes.

    Keep it up!

    Gotta go lie down now...

  • im 14 and have Fibromyalgia. its so hard to live with. my meds dont work, my family dont understand, and it makes you very lonely. feels like i've lost my childhood.

the support from the health service is rubbish. nobody wants to know because im a child and there is no funding for children with it.

Gentle fibro hugs to all affected,

    lucy x

  • Look in your state with the Dept of Health-there you'll find you can sign up for thr Crippled Childrens Program,if gas needed,go to Unitedway 4 it,,a volcher they will give..so you can go.the only Dr.I know is Dr.Mathew Wallack,OceanSprings,MS 228-818-6550

  • THIS VIDEO IS THE BEST

I am so proud to have found this and of the people or person who made this .. Please contact me I want to talk to you please Thank you Sarah I am a fibromyalgia suffer...

  • This is one of the best videos I have seen about the frustration of having this dis-ease

  • Keep up the good work we need to raise awareness and find a cure!

  • I have meds now,The Meds don't work, not morphine, not methadone,I don't know how to stop the constant pain.I have to tend to 2 little one's by myself everyday.Your right,my people don't understand, they just see me walk crippled and hurt like having labor pains, and I'm alone with this.I'm gonna stand strong anyway.I push myself every minute, everyday.

    Lane*

  • my body hurts so fucking bad, nobody understands the nerve pain in my arms and legs, the burning inflammation, the headaches, the mental decline and irritability except other people with fibro. You dont know how much better this makes me feel.

  • o yah and it's not a disease...

    im 15...

i've got every single symptom except the uterine things lol

my life sucks because since i was like 8 years old they treated me for all these different things and when i was 13 they thought i had auto-immunity so i was treated for that and it made me sick ....and now i have lupus too

  • i have fibromyalgia it sucks...

  • Great job! Good choice of music, too.

  • I somewhat lost a friend to fibromyalgia. No, she didn't die... but the stress was too much for her and we lived too far apart.. so she decided we couldn't be together anymore... I'm trying my best to spread awareness, but I'm only one person.

  • Great Video. I Love you choice of songs too. Ive had fibro for about 6 years now.

  • Finally and thank god

  • Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Finally someone that can describe this horrible disease in a way that other people may stay interested long enough to learn about it.

  • What an incredible video!! Thank you for posting!! It is so sad when you can claim all but two of those symptoms. Overwhelming doesn't even begin to state the frustration we and our families go through. Yet it is the best word I can seem to find. Thanks again for a great video!!

  • great video i wish i could send it to my doctor cause he just thinks im crazy al in my head nut ,,, so sick of pills and bill al he does oh well

  • Great Video, now if we can get some Dr's and researchers to watch this video, maybe it will inspire them to do something about so we can stop being accussed of maligning!!!

  • This is a great video showing some of the horrible symptoms we suffer. I have to disagree with one thing here though. Fibro is not yet classified as a disease. It is still known as a syndrome. I have suffered with this for over 10 years. Each flare seems to be worse and last longer. Now I suffer from neurological problems. I just wish more doctors would GET IT!!! and realize we are not imagining this horrible pain we live with.

  • If it's too loud, you're too old! LOL ;-) 37 year old FMS sufferer here, and kudos to you for putting into words how hard it can be, and for once I might even get a MCR song, cos that just says it all!

  • I love this video. This song pulled me out of a deep depression once because of this disease. Also this isn't just for the young, I'm 35 and love MCR can't wait to go see them in August. That song is perfect for explaining how we feel. You just get really sick of people asking "are you ok" you just want to scream back "I'm not ok". So I think the song selection was awsome.

  • p.s. great video, keep it up.

  • the cause? I'll tell you I think it is caused by some sort of damage to the nerve ball at the end of the spine. whether it's viral, tramal (impact) or genes.

  • Wow, this is perfect all the way around. Even the song is awesome! The words speak volumes for the condition! I have already started to show my friends and family this clip. Thank you so much. It gave some of my friends something to think on.

  • I liked this song ok. I have severe CFS/FMS but I still like to rock and roll!! When I can...anyway. I thought this video was very well done and I think it would be fantastic with some pictures throughout.

    fogggyyrl

  • Mindy--*L*O*V*E*D* your video! As a fibromyalgic reversing on Guaifenesin, it brought tears to my eyes. You explained this illness so well. BRAVO!

  • great video and great music, the words are very meaningful!

  • Message is great, but the music was a poor choice. For someone like me that has fibro, it seemed kind of off-putting to hear the loud music.

  • I have to agree. I too have fibromyalgia and the first thing I did was turn down the voume on this. The message, on the other hand, is awsome! Thanks for making this! :o)

  • Wow. Well, I'm one of the younger people with this, so My Chemical Romance is one of my favourite American bands, and to hear this with the FM references... Let's just say it's not the first time I sing it while thinking of FM! So it's nice to know someone else has, too. *hehe* Thank you, great video~

  • thank you for this video,it means alot and MCR is the best!

  • I like this one.
