@whoskate17 It doesn't. Most of the world writes the date as DD/MM/YYYY not MM/DD/YYYY - it's only usually America who writes it the wrong way around.

@lateshowuk We write it the way we pronounce it. December 31st, 2011, for example, is spelled exactly how it's pronounced. 12/31/2011. Otherwise, the correct way to pronounce 31/12/2011 would be - "The 31st of December of 2011". I don't know about you, but the former makes more sense to me.
