@Enlazador9 I'm sure that this is where most disagreement comes from here, but I believe that vendors shouldn't show political or religious bias, since they're in a job that puts them in the service of customers and are therefore simply means to an end. That being said, some people will say "if you don't like the vendor, don't go to that store", but in my opinion it's the vendor's responsibility to be neutral, not the customer's responsibility to not be offended.

I really liked the short. I completely disagree with its message though :-) The bad guy was the one with the gun. He basically acted like an idiotic terrorist. Religion should never be immune to criticism or even to lowly insults.

This is such a great short! Amazing. It's so simple and yet so complex. It's a real gem between shorts. It made me laugh and it made cry. Most importantly, it made me think! Mr. Fazeli, you are a true artist! I know how difficult it is to make a good short. Saying so much in just 10 minutes is such a huge challenge and you'v e done it with such devastating precision! BRAVO! I am looking forward to watching your other shorts and probably your feature.

Wow. powerful script and acting... reminds me of the consequences of our hasty decisions, like, the half-Slovak pulling a gun on the shop owner; also, the consequences of not doing what we could have done, like the shop owner showing the back of his shirt to the half-slovak before their small argument got a little out of hand. the back of the shirt bit in the end was what really turned things around, i think.

I like how most of the comments speak of American arrogance, about how we're hated around the world, when it seems to me that this short depicts a great love for the country and God. Mark had strong beliefs, and a great amount of pride. This is not a bad thing. People who are set in their opinions are not small minded, though they are often accused of it. He just didn't know how to argue. I think the clerk was trying to force him to better articulate his beliefs.

I think this movie says neither that the american is an arrogant idiot nor the slvoakian shopowner... I think it is upto anybody to choose his "hero" from this short film... Personally I sympathize with the shop owner... I like lot of things on America, but what must be said is, that most of Americans are fanatics in religous ways, and that actually connects them to muslim fanatics... I have nothing against religion itself, although I am atheist... but I hate fanatism...

Great film. Great film. I'm from Texas myself and a firm believer in the American Dream and patriotism and this spoke to me. I'm living in Germany with the military and I receive the same kind of pressures that were depicted in this film. One thing to add though, perhaps it would have been better to use color, to show the contrast of the two flags and the shirt, drinks ect could have their own meaning. Great film thought, 5/5

Naw!... It's a tremendous script but a very real situation and the actors are terrific too! Good camera movements by the director of the movie with skills to lead the suspens and gospel music at the starting and the end helps to give a full circle little masterpeace in black and white.
