  • Rotor is for pussy. Drink Vodka!!

  • Russian helicopters are so awesome they don't need to move their rotor to fly XD

  • In Soviet Russia, YOU rotate.

  • This is because the refresh rate of camera is coinciding the rate of rotation of rotor. i.e camera refreshes exactly the same time when the rotor come to same position every time. This is no wonder

  • this is what a helicopter looks like when you drink too much vodka :0

  • this is awesome!!!

  • Good job !!! The pilots name is David Copperfield !!! Bravo!!!

  • @mbudd121 lol

  • I love it how no one reads the description and automatically thinks it's fake. But I guess most people don't read, which is why they're watching youtube.

  • nice! my grandfather was telling me about rotor-braking in hueys, but this takes the cake!

  • isnt that the heli in call of duty?

  • dear God... what has science done?

  • It's Soviet that's how it flies!

  • FAYUL !

  • fake and gay

  • @ruician7

Read the description you goddamn idiot.

And try looking this up(stroboscopic effect) and cram it in your pea-sized brain!

  • Russians intercepted the radio waves and replaced them with micro waves causing a giant invisible squirrel to hold it up.

  • @Bruins97

No; You ignoramus; It flies on a cushion of vodka vapor...

That with a squirrel is completely different project...

  • If i saw this in real life i'll be like " mommy look, Mommy look its flying its flying" :)

  • how the fuck is this possible??

  • @2k99999

    stroboscopic effect

  • Wouldn't you just crap your pants if a helo actually came at you without it's rotors turning?! I know I'd be impressed.

  • This was from another person and it is a CGI test. This is not real you fucking noobs!

  • @xXPUN1SH3RXx ur stupid and wrong lol read the description retard

  • @xXPUN1SH3RXx lol, fail

  • Look at a film of a helicopter take-off or landing you will see that the rotors spin in one direction then in the other, the frame rate of the camera causes that just as it makes the rotor look like it standing still in this video.

  • Love this video

  • dude how do you get the apache!

  • I love the controversy these videos pick up.

Being that a video is just a sequence of stills passed by each other very quickly, I'm going to go with the fact that the shutter speed, and rotor rate are matched.

Although admittedly, what I don't get is that the blades seem to be sitting still even as the chopper raises in height, whilst, a chopper must increase blade speed to gain height.. :S

    But, I'm no scientist. xP

  • @SirVladDracula Forget that. :S I was wrong. The blades change pitch instead of increasing speed. xP My bad!

  • @SirVladDracula the rotors don't ever increase speed in normal flight, it's just the angle of the rotors that causes it to climb and descend. But the first part is 100% correct

  • what the fuck is that

the blades are so fucking fast

  • wow what are the odds of that happening

    thats wicked

  • WOW, some people should not breath......

  • ROFLcopter!

  • Estan en la misma frecuencia de Hz

  • the cam and the rotors are at the same speed

  • you can still hear the blades, they are moveing

  • apparently the Mi-24 can use its turbines to hover like a AV-8 harrier

  • Apparently...

  • apparently ur fucking retarded also

  • Not. its the frame rate of the camera. it is very very close to the cyclic rate of the rotors, making them look like they are sitting still. much in the same way taht a fast moving wheel looks like it is sometimes moving backwards.

  • @STARZFAN31 the cyclic rate or the rotors change whe you lift up

  • The blades spinning at 7200 RPM

The Sony Camera is recording at 30FPS.

    7200rpm / 60sec = 120rps. 120 / 30 fps = 4 rotations per frame, to the millisecond.

So the blades are completing 4 complete cycles per frame but the camera sees it as stationary :)

  • You've got the right idea, but 7200 rpm is around 25 times too fast for this size helicopter. :)

  • Here's the same effect with an RC model helicopter.

    It''s shutter speed synch.

    watch?v=BrnbePShglc

  • It even says in the description that the ROTOR speed and SHUTTER speed are the same, thus giving it the stroboscopic effect that the blades are barely moving. same for the slow moving tail rotor. no strings, no aliens, no models. just the Stroboscopic Effect

  • You people are all fools. It's obviously being held in the air because the pilot is Peter Pan.

  • @NickNH Held in the air by what you fucking idiot, the rotors can go so fast that they look like there not moving you know

  • Nice

  • its a toy, filmed from below, with sound effects added.

  • its pretty funny how people believe its real

  • Read the FUCKING DESCRIPTION FUCK FUCKWIT CUNT WHORE WITH AN IQ OF -32.

  • Hey that is pretty cool. Thanks for uploading.

  • u can hear the thruster noob

  • Nobody said you couldt.........

  • Wow, that seriously looks very cool :D

  • its a balloon

  • It is said there, the camera is taking pictures when the rotor is allways in the same position, the frequency of the camera is exact the same as the frequency of the rotor.

  • speed not frequency

  • how it can flying??????
