  • i really liked this game, the graphics are very good for a genesis game, i liked the music and the controls worked good for me (changed the configuration for that, instead of EUR i changed it to U.S) it's a bit easy but it's a good game :)

  • Some of this tunes still rock, but as a big fan of Mega Drive music in general, I had kinda hoped for more from my favorite Mega Man jams redone new Sega sheen. Oh well, now it exists as just a quirky novelty to me.

  • never mind, found it...it's metal man

  • anyone know the song that starts at 2:35? it sounds so familiar.

  • @usernameinvalid008 Flash man stage theme from Megaman 2 :)

  • @Pro21xx this is the megadrive/genesis not super nintendo

  • O00F-MSICOA

  • is it a crime to say i liked this game?

  • I tried playing this game. Ick. The controls were unresponsive! Or at least, nowhere near as good as the original.

And let's face it: Genesis graphics weren't all that superior to the NES anyway. I'm a hardcore MM fan, which is probably why it bugs me. :\

  • get over it people

    it's only a game

    not serious business

  • WAITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

    Megaman on GENESIS

    *HEAD EXPLODES ON THOUGHT*

  • I still have this game, I remember my friends being so jealous because they'd never heard of it before hand. Great game!

  • Is there a reason this game never came out in the US?? :/

  • My memory might be fuzzy on this, but I believe it was released exclusively on the Sega Channel.

  • Whatever the reason, Mega Man gamers would have really been pleased if is has been released in the good ol' US of A. ;)

  • You're correct it was a SC exclusive. It was tight! I remember playing the hell out of this game as a child. I use to have the Sega Channel til it got discontinued.

  • I'm hearing my classic Megaman songs get raped!

Nah, but it's a wierd change. I definitely like the 8 bit megaman games though I would like to try wily wars...

  • I wish they would NOT have used techno and used METAL instead! Who's with me?

  • To be honest, I am. :D

  • Ah so you wish they would have used Metal instead? Hey what if they rereleased this game compilation with MM 4-8 with updated graphics and most importantly with metal versions of these themes? I wonder what people would think? I also wish they'd make a MM game with full 3D graphics and make it have less of a cartoonish feel.

  • Yeah, that'd be cool. Being a metal fan, I'd enjoy it. And I know for a fact that they could've made it sound the Metal on the genesis; Listen to Dynamite Headdy's music track, "You're Izayoi" for an example.

  • Partially yeah, I mean most of the originals really sounded tailormade for guitar leads.

  • Yuck, I did not like this music at all. The original music is far more superior. I guess Megaman never were supposed to be on the megadrive

  • strange, when i play this game on an emulator the music seems to be slowed down.

  • You're using the European ROM. European games run slower than USA/Japanese games.

  • i already know what is wrong with the rom.

the rom had to be converted to a bin file, and once i converted it to a bin file using a patch the lag was gone, and i was able to save the game.

the patch is found at romhacking(dot)net.

  • Just set it to JP instead of EU in the country settings.

  • megaman is wonderful

  • I like what they did to Clash Man and Flash Man's themes.

  • men nice song :) megaman is a legend add more videos of megaman

  • wow this looks like the best possible 16 bit version of a megaman game, seeing as how after growing up with 2,3,4,5, and 6, the ones they made for super nintendo were just an offense to the series. i wish they'd done something like this for the proper console.

  • Whatever, Mega Man 7 was one of the best games in the series.

  • Not really. The timing of the gameplay is off big time. It plays very differently than the NES versions, and not in a good way. For example, in the NES version you can fire off about three shots in one line, that can't happen in this version. It requires a major readjustment and it never really feels right.

  • its nice looking, but doesn't play well. the arranged music is inferior too imho.

  • Iv'e heard the one that starts at 4:21 before, do you know the name of it?

  • That's Wily's first stage from Mega Man 2. All the tunes from this vid are arrangements of songs from MM2 and MM3.

  • Why not Megaman 1?

  • As to composer....

All of the tracks in this video are remixes from MM1-3, which were composed by multiple people. Those names are:

    Megaman 1 -- C. Manami & Yuukichan's Papa

Megaman 2 -- Manami, Ogeretsu, Ietel, and Yuukichan's Papa

    Megaman 3 -- "BUNBUN"

There must also be a composer for the one or two tracks exclusive to the Wily Wars (like the title screen), but I have no idea who.

  • Good enough for me man, thanks for the info. Video updated.

  • It's quite cool how they were remade like this (with my favorite video game 16-bit synth).

  • I think the Mega Drive did well with the music here.

  • That hopping number you did at 3:36 made me laugh. It's cool to hear the past music redone years later, but I'd prefer the original over the way they made these remakes of the soundtracks.

  • Epic music!
