This getting off drugs is bullshit in my opinion. If a person can quit drinking or drugging with willpower then they aren't alcoholics and drug addicts to begin with in my opinion. ...In recovery, a 12 step program it's suggested to take a complete, honest moral inventory of ourselves. Then we share it out loud with God (My Higher Power) and a trusted friend or Minister, usually it's one's sponsor in recovery. It's a good feeling usually to unload what we think makes us unlike anyone else. We find out usually we're not unique at all.

 I can honestly see your side of it. And I'll share this with you. I have a few friends who are also agnostic. The idea of the whole thing is to not think "You" are the one with all the answers. I'm going to have faith in some kind of power greater than myself because look where MY thinking has taken me. So, for an agnostic, I would suggest you don't have to believe in "God" as I do.
