Tika Tonu - Young people are taught this haka as it contains an appropriate message for many adolescent males, particularly at that point in their lives where they are making the difficult transition into adulthood. The message of this haka is of challenge, struggle, perseverance and achievement. Kahuku you certainly perform this haka well....this haka is a little fast...you need to slow down and let the power come through....kia ora
theres always Maori players on this team.and its always the Maori players that teach and lead the haka for kahuku. yup i double checked and kahuku is the first football team or sports team in america or out side of New zealand to performe a haka before a game. lots of people hate but its just how the Maori Players want to share their Powerful Warrior Culture. must i add that All Polynesian Cultures Warrior Cultures.it was sort of easy for these Polys too pick up The Pukana faces. ef all u haters
@NZtenga Yuur right the haka would be best performed by kiwis in most cases, but the haka was taught to this team by maori who are born nd raised in Hawaii. Soo i guess they learned from the best eh (;
Euless Trinity need to learn the lyrics and actions correctly. those fags dont event got it down right.may lookand sound solid to the freaking honky cracker redneck fans but to the Polys that know the Culture of Haka them fools look like fags.Euless Trinity needs to go watch and take notes from the masters of the KA MATE the NZ ALL BLACKS. If they gonna rep it, do right KAHUKUS Haka is Solid. national ranks dont mean shit. you never kno whos the best untill we challenge. KAHUKU wud kill euless
The Haka is a distinctly New Zealand tradition and War dance, made popular by the ALL BLACK Rugby team, and their dominance of world rugby...
Other Islander Nations have other versions of their own Unique War Dance... This Includes Fiji, Samoa and Tonga...
I think its great you guys are bringing in this great culture to American Football, but you should consider devising your own Unique War Dance, relevant to your culture and history
@Tino13 There really is no pre-game ritual or haka for American Football. This is sorta unique particularly for Hawaii esp. Kahuku since a lot of mixed Polynesians students attending. A lot of these kids come from the islands where rugby is the game and so they sorta just uphold that tradition when playing the game of football. In Kahuku, for a fews year now, it's been led & taught by Maori students, like this one led by #4 & #24. Their grandpa was the Chief of the Maori Village at the PCC.
YO YO to this nanakuli person the one who led the haka that year was a kaka as well george and him are first cousin number 4 and him are brothers......so jus take ur shit somewea else
