Torque is a FORCE, same as you leaning on a table, you're putting a force on that table. HP is WORK being done, if the table you're leaning on moves, thats work. HP is the number that matters when moving a car down the track, but not the peak number that every quotes. Area under the HP curve is what matters! That and setup, gearing, and ofcourse the driver :)

Torque = acceleration. It's up to the driver to apply that torque effectively. It's also up to the car, in a way. i.e. set the car up to bite the track and apply the torque. HP is merely the momentum to keep the thing going. Torque is the acceleration.

acttualy with a proper suspension set uo, youl be just as good as a proper set up supra. the cars weigh the same. put in a 99-04 cobra suspension with aluminum block engine and before you know it you have a crazy good handling car, especialy if you can get a 99 cobra R suspension.

Has overtaken me many times at Queensalnd Raceway. It has around 800hp at wheels, equivelent to 1000hp engine. TTV8. Last time I saw it run it brakes failed coming into the hairpin seen in video.
