actually, it wasnt quite that simple. izzy was the major song-writer for Appetite, GNR Lies and UYI. he and slash co-wrote only 3 out of 30 songs for Illusions.
axl didnt just write lyrics, he also helped with arrangement of songs.
for Appetite, many songs were written collaboratively. slash had the intro riff to Welcome to the Jungle but duff wrote the breakdown, izzy contributed too plus axl wrote the lyrics.
Buckethead really blew me away on his playing on Chinese Democracy.
Too right mate. It's also interesting that Izzy's rhythm work is a lot more prominent in the mix than Slash's. As much as I like Slash, without someone making him push his limits, he can be a fairly dull player. Bucket's work on Chinese Democracy was superb!

The Buckethead Signature Les Paul would probably cost 3x what it cost him to make it... but I agree, it would be a step in the right direction for Gibson.
true bucketheads les paul is bigger then the other les pauls because he has big hands and he is really tall. and this is the only guitar that can not be remade. they refuse too make the same guitar. cuz its not normal all white with a kill switch.

Hes one of my top 10 guitarists, call me crazy but thats what I think. One thing I know is that I know of a lot of guitarists and can make a fair judgement to put him in there.
I just know hes badass. I never really rate guitarists from bands I listen to based on skill, but more their creativity, and this guy has a ton of it.
omfg come on, Syn is good, but this is a whole different league of guitarist. Buckethead is considered one of the top 10 guitarists of all time by many people.

well slash didnt write the Guns N Roses songs anyway. it was either axl and izzy or a collaborative band effort usually.
Buckethead's playing on the album is spectacular. check him out on riad and the beduoins, better, there was a time, sorry, if the world etc.

actually, it wasnt quite that simple. izzy was the major song-writer for Appetite, GNR Lies and UYI. he and slash co-wrote only 3 out of 30 songs for Illusions.
axl didnt just write lyrics, he also helped with arrangement of songs.
for Appetite, many songs were written collaboratively. slash had the intro riff to Welcome to the Jungle but duff wrote the breakdown, izzy contributed too plus axl wrote the lyrics.
Buckethead really blew me away on his playing on Chinese Democracy.

Too right mate. It's also interesting that Izzy's rhythm work is a lot more prominent in the mix than Slash's. As much as I like Slash, without someone making him push his limits, he can be a fairly dull player. Bucket's work on Chinese Democracy was superb!

You can buy (or download?) the album, but I have another tip: there is this program called ''Free youtube to mp3 converter'', and you can use it to convert youtube movies, like this one, to mp3 files, and its free.
Just search with google.
I already used it to get some cool audio from youtube on my Ipod :-)

i have a very good ear-tat note was definitely out of key, and he hung onto it a smidge of a bit, i think he messed up-he's great though! One of my fav's!!

You don't need any music theory to tell that note is out of key.
I've seen him mess up a few times, but who cares. He does have a mask on and he isn't looking at the fretboard.

It is unknown whether he likes it or not. It's more difficult to play w/ a mask than w/out it!
Nonetheless he's one of my favorite players, even though i don't have a fave, for i don't believe in the best guitar player b/c everyone's different!
My Top 5 would be: John Petrucci, Buckethead, Michael Angelo, Malmsteen, and Vai or Satriani...

true bucketheads les paul is bigger then the other les pauls because he has big hands and he is really tall. and this is the only guitar that can not be remade. they refuse too make the same guitar. cuz its not normal all white with a kill switch.

buckethead is playing with his band, which i think was his frist band. i know pinchface is still with bucket but i don't know if he is still with the bass. maximum bob is the singer of deli creeps. he was just shown in the description.

Hes one of my top 10 guitarists, call me crazy but thats what I think. One thing I know is that I know of a lot of guitarists and can make a fair judgement to put him in there.
