He didn't talk about what Windows users have to do to disable their screensavers, but for Vista and 7 users, all you have to do is find the option in the screensavers section of personalize. It's avious when you know the secret!

There's an option for this on VLC so you don't have to download something else. And VLC works everywhere :)

A better idea: Go to system preferences and then go to desktop/screensaver and then click on hot corners, make one of the corners as "disable screensaver" and then when watching videos, move your mouse to that corner and your screen should be safe. you will get use to moving your mouse after time. No application needed
