  • Recorded on Cell Phone?

  • ATI => good cheap powerful....Crossfire mode undefeated-able

nvidia = good quality , build for $ best on laptops than on pc like the ATI

downside = stupid SLI that only compatible with similar cards unlike crossfire

AMD = good powerful require good ventilating system in order to outperform intel

intel = i5 i7 multi core , without require huge amount of ventilation runs powerful multi-tasking with multi-threading capabilities ....

    me= LOL

    you guys = powerful

  • polygons add smoothness to the images~ more polygons = more lifelike smoothness~

dx11 allows developers to use many more polygons than dx10~ and you need a dx11 graphics card that can process the polygons~ dx11 base model graphics cards still can process them but will get hotter and lag more than later dx11 graphics cards~

  • @zomgbbqwth Heat depends on the cooling capability of the heatsink, the TDP of the card, and how well the case or card are pushing out that heat. It has nothing to do with how loaded or bottlenecked a low end GPU is. What you stated is a misconception of the uninformed.

Typically, higher end GPUs run hotter. The GTX 480, for example, heats up to 90-93C under load.

  • lol crysis in dx11 will be the shit

dx10 crysis is still bad ass and for crysis dx11 i think that some people might go insane lol *crazy as hell graphics*

for people that agree give me a thumbs up

  • ATi sucks.

  • GTX480 rules

you asshole creator of vid!! kkk

  • @Extreme2107 The GTX480 rules in temperature and power consumption. (96 Degrees)

  • GTX480 rules

  • I got a HD 5750 and it works perfect...

But i buy a second 5750 soon and use they via. Cross-over Cable

    ATI Ftw...

  • @xerax27 Should've gotten the 5770. I got two of 'em and it's like I have a Radeon 5870.

  • @xerax27 are you sure its via cross over cable?

  • @SCARYxSNiiPEZz

    nah:D CrossFire X

  • @xerax27 yea man, jus makin sure lol

  • hai am really bored anyone wanna play and have fun

  • my last ATI card was a Radeon 9800 Pro and it worked without any problems for several years (from halo over far cry till crysis). I used it every day for hours and it would still run and run if i hadn't bought a new g-card. Costs: 215€

Best thing I ever got for my money :P

  • Me too, I had that card from 2003 or 2004 dont know anymore until 2008 and it could still run titles in all that yeard on medium.

  • Went with 2x 5870s personally. Ok. more heat and and takes more power and space but certainly faster. Either way, I am happy with the purchase. Certainly a good upgrade from my 295 in my apartment in London. I just got fed up with waiting for Nvidia to release something. Smoke and mirrors for too long now and the last show they turned up with mockups only. What a joke. I was loyal until the manufacturing bug caused the 2x285s in this current machine to burn out. yep, not 1, but 2. together.!

  • go away troll....

  • your lack of punctuality sucks

even posting something like your comment is crap

some people are on a budget and Nvidia are lacking in performance atm.

who gives a fuck about ifinity.

    so you suck gamer1337omg

  • ATI produces good cards, they are usually more efficient and have a bit more power. but one thing that's always plagued me every time i try out an ATI card is that it seems to break or stop functioning correctly in about 6 months, maybe it's just me, but i prefer nvidia simply because they last longer in my hands.

  • Yeah, Nvidia cards. LOL

Use too much power from the PSU, but still get outperformed by ATI. PhysX is a gimmick, and can be done on any graphics engine if the developer wants it.

;) Have a good day sir

  • @R3STRIKT3D although nvidia id outperformed, they still arent shit, and the physX just makes it easier for developers, although they could do it themselves, it just takes more time. but i agree with you, ATI FTW!

  • @R3STRIKT3D And that's why all benchmarks are Nvidia favoured eh? Just suck up your jelly with those sucky ATI drivers and bow to superiority.

  • @gamer1337 Rofl learn how to type before you post lol and also ati doesn't suck stop sucking nv's cock and learn how not to be a fanboy lol get a life dude seriously.

  • which one i buy 4870 or 5850

  • @sesvn 5850 because it supports DX11 and the features you see above.

  • 5870, its worth $400 dollars but its well worth it knowing it can easily run 3 30" screens at above 1080p resolution at the same time.

  • well a 5770 is similar to a 4870, but the 5850 is way more powerful.

  • i agree i think it was some PC magazine in the UK who said that the cheapest DX11 card that's actually worth buying is the 5850, all the others aren't good.

  • @sesvn 5850 or 5870 are the better choices just choose one and ur good to go

  • I've seen a comparison between DX10 and DX11 on Stalker call of pripyat and... I'm not impressed. It will take a while before game companies can use DX11 well.

  • @VagabonNinja lol you do realise you cant see anty differences without the game and card supporting it? btw dirt2 is dx11 (the only one atm)

  • Crysis 2 will be DX11 and we all know they will use it well.

  • yea but will it be worth buying a new card? I don't buy 2nd place cards. So if I buy a card, I'm going to spend more to get the best one. I don't know if it is worth it though, I already have a gtx 295 and it plays games just fine.

Even the older cards play all games just fine. What's the need anyway?

  • The main reason is DX11.

With the old cards you will not be able to play games in DX11.

Crysis 2 will be DX11 and I'm sure you would love to play it in DX11.

  • GTX295 isnt the best, not by a long shot.

if you always have the best, its currently an

ATI 5970 duel GPU in Crossfire mode.

GTX295 according to toms hardware hasnt been the best for a long time,

i think theres a 50% speed improvement on the single GPU 5970 alone.

  • @samljer actually best video card is ati 5870, 850 mhz of core clock, 4.8 ghz of memory clock, 256 bit, 153.6 gbs of memory transfer rate, 1600 pixels per clock, supports directx 11. 5970 is right below touching 5870 foots

  • actually its a 5970

725mhz but twice as much data travels at once.

    thats far better then 850.

If you look at the other numbers.

like fill rate, gflops, etc. they are actually higher then the 5870

but im sure you knew that.

  • @samljer yes i knew it, im talking about single gpus

  • The reason for it is that 5970 has TWO GPUs

    lol..

you just compared a single core 5870 to a dual core 5970

    your a fucking champ!

  • @killerclown789 i SO agree xD

  • @killerclown789 except that it's gonna be roughly the detail of the original anyway, due to some technological advancements...alongside the dumbing down for the consoles. don't fool yourself into thinking its gonna be better than the original in looks :P

  • @killerclown789 im scary that DX10 will be awesome crapy )':

  • @killerclown789 Hmm..It runs also on Xbox...an 5 year old hardware....so, who cares about DX11 ??

  • @psychonaut25 They will be pushing the PC version way further. The console version is dumbed down.

  • @psychonaut25 Why must you embarrass yourself on the internet ? the 5 year old hardware not only runs on DX10, but is doing so with a V-Sync 30 Fps. that means you cannot see more frames per second then 30 :D While doing so in WAY worse Graphics.

do you want to know what kinda Anti-Aliasing X-box is doing ? 1x / 2x MSAA ( multi sample anti aliasing ) while i run my games in DX11 120 FPS 16 x SSAA Super sample AA, on 120 HZ monitor.

  • @psychonaut25 i have AMD ATI Radeon HD 5970 x2 CrossfireX '

just 1 of the GPU' cards cost twice the amount of what a Xbox360 cost, my CPU cost Twice the Xbox Price, even my PSU cost almost Twice a Xbox360, my Motherboard, cost twice the amount a Xbox cost, my Ram cost twice, my SDD ( solid state drive hard disc ) cost Twice the amount.

Since your talking that shit, its clear you have compared a cheap shitty PC to Xbox ^^ hahahahaha

  • YAY BLUR!

  • What game is this?

  • Comment removed

  • •"Splinter Cell: conviction" (Splinter Cell: Conviction) •"Dust 2" (Dirt 2) •"Need for Speed 13: variable" (Need for Speed: Shift) •"Crysis" new (Crysis Next) •"BioShock 2" (Bioshock 2) •"Mafia 2" (Mafia II) •"Half-Life 2 Part III" (Half-Life 2 Ep3) •"Dragon's Century: The origin of" (Dragon Age Origins) •"Mass Effect 2" (Mass Effect 2) •"Two Worlds 2" (Two World's 2) •"StarCraft 2: Wings of Freedom" (StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty) Dirt 2- well theres 1
  • Well for Starcraft 2, they aren't going to use the features of DX11.

You can just run the game on DX11 but it won't be different from DX10. Just a marketing thing.

  • Supreme cammander 2,

    Battle forge,

    Crysis 2,

    Bad company 2,

    STALKER: Call of Pripyat,

Lord of the Rings online and more.

    They are all DX11.

  • @killerclown789 Don't forget dirt 2

  • @killerclown789 Dirt 2 also!, Alien vs Predator game coming soon also

  • no... cause even 2 years from now there will still be TONS of people out there with 7800 nvidia gpu's and possibly even weaker.

pc gaming is held back by .. oh nvm...

  • Actually, there will be one: Dirt 2, which will be released very soon.

  • dirt 2 is dx11

  • Anyone CAN build a PC most people just don't care to try. From my first build last year I now know more than I did to start, and I'm building better, cheaper and more cohesive machines now.

Still it only took me an hour to get everything assembled and in BIOS, loading windows was the longest aspect of the whole ordeal.

If you can use legos you can build a custom gaming PC, srsly. Those with any hesitation can watch any of a millions DIY step-by-step guides that will hold your hand.

  • True that there are many tutorials online, some of them can be stupid as hell. But most times, it's not the videos that are stupid. It's the person watching and trying to understand. Most people, and I know a majority of my family can't and will not attempt to build a computer because it can get hard. You start taking in the motherboard and trying to find out which harddrives it supports. And you have to find a case that supports the motherboard's size.

  • So much shit to take in when building a computer, they can simply get confused and give up. And if you're absolutely new to computer, I wouldn't even recommend attempting to build one. If you do have general knowledge, then you should feel that building a computer shouldn't be aas hard as it seems. Since you have general knowledge, you know the best of GPUs, PSUs, and CPUs to get. What to look in for a case, since you have to get one that supports what you're buying.

  • Every game until now was made to have as low polys as possible and look good.. This turns everything upside down.. I don't understand whats going to run this? Remember that any video shown on these tests don't feature any advanced physics and thats why framerate is high.. Try running this with euphoria!

  • nothke, The only DX11 card out right now (to my knowledge) is the ATi 5800 series which does not have native support for physics and thus is handled by the CPU instead of the GPU and GPU driven physics (PhysX) isn't even an option you can enable with an ATi card. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • lol Yeah Pc isn't for everyone that is true.I do believe those who are into Pc rake in many benefits over console.(100 manservers, mods,DL etc...)I also believe a steam DL is way better then a used or even new copy of GTA4 for that matter. You can't scratch a digital download but lets not go down that road LMAO.

  • Try reading about the Microsoft's or wherever it belongs to, just read about the DirectX 11 on how it works and what is its difference.. I have had a pdf file of it but then I lost it already coz I switched to the latest OS.. =D I think u already know what it is.. Which is in DX11 already..

  • Is anyone can explain the tessellation mean???

  • It means polygons are automatically added once you get closer to the object. The great thing about DirectX 11 is, that the tessellation is done by the hardware, AFAIK the API expects a shader on the card specialised for it. The result will be more realistic looking objects even up close with less main GPU spent spent on calculating the additional polygons. Very, very cool I have to say!

  • it makes some objects appear 3d from a flat picture

  • Immagine you are trying to draw the form of a circle with stray lines, your would need lots of lines to better picture the circle, Tessellation is this, (or so i think) up until now they couldn't use as many sectors to draw on as they can now, with less sectors the image would distort when animated and it would mean bigger, blurrier, pictures where used to fill up the Triangles and form the picture. in simpler words, we can now do what the PS3 can do, probably even more, about time PCs cough on

  • lmao ps3 runs on dx9 PCs have long been able to out due any console lol your a retard try crysis in dx10 an see that no console can touch those gfx or the hardware needed to run it at max settings.Consoles are for kids my friend

  • *cough* You're leaving out how much is would cost to buy a rig able to max out on Crysis, of course with having no lag. You're looking at something pricey, unless you can build it yourself which most people can't do. Also, PS3 doesn't use Directx, it uses openGL - slap yourself now. And on a last note, look at the PS3 slim, $300.... tell me where you can buy a PC for that PRICE with the same quality in graphics.

  • Yeah your right an dx is way better then openGL an on a quality lvl i compare it to dx9 at best.If you like to run quality games at 30 fps then console is the way to go.I prefer 60 fps an all the extra you get with pc.GTA4 cost console users $60 an you got less i paid $24 on steam(on sale) an get better graphics an the whole video editor.Yeah i built my pc but you can also buy a good build thru many other companies for cheap an upgrade in time.Pc is the top gaming platform hands down.

  • Well Directx is better, but only feature wise. There is some controversy going on with both OpenGL and Directx, which ever is better is unclear. Since they both have their own cons and pros.

Console games can run at either 30 or 60. The new Uncharted 2 runs at 60 FPS. Most EA games run at 30 FPS.

GTA4 costs $25 at used and $30 at new. You saved $5, good for you.

Dazzle+Sony Vegas, there's your editing when it comes to console footage.

Consoles are for manly people, nuff said.

  • it makes things look bumpy. like gravel on the ground in directx 9/10 is flat with just fake shadows to make it look like bumps on stone walls or gravel on the ground is stickign out like irl. with tesselation it actually makes it stick out so it looks real, but without alot of processing power

  • how are u ment to show a difference in directx10 and 11 when u record a demo with a piece of shit like that...... epic fail much.

  • ok well your video quality sucks we know that

  • Do you have to specifically program for hardware tessellation?

I think Carmack is cheating with his megatextures btw. How can you do correct collision detection with megatextures?

  • the collision detection and texture rendering are handled by completely different systems. all 3d modelling is built on polygons (the tesselation), this is basically showing that dx11 is good at handling high polycount efficiently - the 3D equivalent of turning your monitor resolution up.

  • Yeah, my megatexture remark was completely separate from this video. I can't really see how megatexturing can have correct collision detection (as accurate as the megatexture with all the bumps and details). I saw the latest Id tech engine demo videos and it didn't look too good close-up.

I'm getting sick and tired of low-poly in-game models. :)

Painkiller's boss mobs had about 10,000 btw.

  • well what I got from the idtech demo was more about developer workflow improvements - everyone works on a giant canvas and it doesn't have to be separately replicated in the engine, i don't know if they're directly addressing collision detection yet, but I'd think with assistance from PhysX or Havok on a dedicated care you could do a universal collision map in real-time same way the gpu does for display. but i don't know the specifics, i let carmack and wizards like him deal with it :)

  • a dx10 card can support dx11 to

  • DX10 cards can't run DX11, the DX10 cards can run DX11 games, but only in DX10 mode, and DX11 games can run DX10 games, again, in DX10, they can't magically reprogram the game engine to be done in DX11,

  • No because the card it self is made to suppose DirectX 10 and 11 have something this cards lack but Directx 11 and 10 ain't "so" different in fact.

  • it might show the architecture in dx10 games at higher resolution but only if originally they were overbuilt and down-sampled. i don't imagine that to be the case most of the time, most developers take a lot of care in building their scenes economically

  • good vid..

My 2 5870's incoming around next weekend.. i'll make tons of videos of unboxing, gameplays & benchmarks

Sub me if you want? som CFX-action with these monsters! cant fuckin wait anymore... just one week left... early for being sweden-delivered!

  • this would be good if you could the graphics istead of a blur.

  • heh ATi's Froblins Demo of DX10.1 for the HD 4800 series ;)

  • outdated video drivers can cause lots of problems

  • Why would someone post somethin that looks this shit. HD or at least hq is a must with something like this.

  • the quality of the video sucks makes it look worst then dx7!

  • Comment removed

  • you suck, lol

  • both the same spazz.......

  • i ment to say direct x sucks compared to open gl

  • because?????

  • How can a video card crash? And first of all I had 4 Nvidia cards, all of them burned on stock clocks and the fan of my last 6600 Geforce, which I had for 3 years, just gave up it never happened with my ATIs... and lastly the 4350 is the ultra ultra low end... IF you will need any help choosing cards, PM me.

  • or PM me aswell, 2 opinions are better than 1 :)

  • or PM me aswell, 2 opinions are better than 1 :)

  • you used one fan for 4 different video cards?(obviously not at once)

thats like using a fan from a single core cpu for a dual core, what the fuck!

  • not a fair compare

  • how can graphic card crash ???

probably u dont have enough ram to run some game

  • well it just wouldnt work, it crasehd

  • dude graphic card cant crash

    u dot have ram enough

go to start right click on my computer click propertis and it will write how much ram u have

    and reply on me

  • wow who do you think i am....i have 2 gb ram, 250 gb hard drive, intel pentium d 3.44 ghz processor.

  • Video cards can be the cause of a pc crashing.

  • i haven't heard about graphic card who can crash the OS

  • BSOD nvnddmkm.sys is a gpu crash

  • Yea, and you only get that if you stress your card. It's not the cards fault.

  • idiot, nvidia video card are weak! go for ati lol

  • lmao thats y 1 evga gtx 295 hydrocoper eats the 4870 x2 alive? even if u oc the 4870 the hydrocoper will still kill it at stock lol

  • yeah dude in the future i will only get ati video cards in my house. i just bought a new laptop (acer aspire 8935G) and it has got an ATI Radeon HD 4670. in it. i can play crysis with some settings on very high with. i mean on a Laptop...THATS AWESOME

  • DX 11 its not out yet -.- you have 10.1 idiot.

  • Actually its dx 10. Nvidia doesn't support 10.1 yet

  • doesnt it say ATI right down in the screen, look closly damnit.

  • FYI I was replying to someone else. AMD now owns ATI; in essence it's AMD. Who knows it might get re branded later as AMD graphics

  • no frick idea about all these dependencies and blah, im just happy that my comp still runs -_-

  • yea right +

  • Yet?

They never will as its not important enough.

  • lol.....................................

  • works on my hd4870 + DualCore E8500 @ 4,1 Ghz with 50+fps , thats directx 10.1 not 11

  • wow it looks so.... wait i cant see anything amysing i just see some pixels loking like dx2

  • on this video looks like dos draphic

  • its not exactly the best video quality and I think you're ignoring how many models are in the scene you pessimistic douche.

  • it runs nearly fluently on my HD4850GS, its DX10.1

  • i saw it on pegazus ! xD

  • Bad quality.

  • with this quality, it seems like dx11 isnt nice :D

  • lol

  • raytracing or gtfo

  • i think gtfo..

to run raytracing, you need 3 PS3 :/

  • Or 1 PC

  • actually you need a good quadcore..

    check out arauna realtime raytracing.

it will actually run on a dual (or even singlecore) but 30+ fps (at decent res) on a quadcore

  • You're right! amazing.

  • we should support ati as they are the competition and when there is competition that is when the consumer will win

  • lol wut r dis

  • I don`t know what punch nVidia has to pull yet, but I am definitely all for buying an ATi card. This is simply incredible and if developers work with it then I could see it becoming the next big thing.

  • its just a demo, i think

  • it was what I was afraid of, looked like it could have been a fun game.

  • demo

  • what game is this?

  • its just a tech demo
