I know that Peters said in an interview that all the scripts he had read and loved were, in his own words, "leaning more towards Star Wars" and after Singer came to the project he started realising that the rules for superhero movies are simple: "never mess with the basics". I, for one, am curious what Burton's Superman Reborn would've looked like. The concept had potential.

@yellowcougar18 And the script for Batman Forever, including the deleted / alternate scenes, was much more dark and psychological than the theatrical cut. The studios were the oens who tried to make it as child friendly as possible. Schumacher had done a great job with the character in his version of the movie. Burton helped him, of course, and Schumacher said in an interview that when he was offered to direct he met with Tim and asked him, and Tim agreed after meeting with Joel and his writers.

@yellowcougar18 The studio had the diea of elaving the psichology out, put more romance, leave the gothic secrets of the batcave, etc. Schumacher's evrsion can be traced on fanedit websites and it's worth a download if you have the original movie. It was an amazing concept that got fucked up to be more of a family movie. The same goes for B&R. The only thing Schumacher should be bashed for are the nipples. Those were his idea. But the concept had a lot of potential.
