@rEnRiloD Shubunkin is one of the most common goldfish in Japan. It's about 3 to 5Euro, 4 to 6USD. so I can find it everywhere. Probably You can import those fish from Japan. but Export Fish costs 100 to 200times than a fish itself.
@rEnRiloD If you feed minimum You can keep it in a small tank. I don't like bare tank though, You can do like other people do If you don't mind to change water often. oh and DO NOT FEED it for a few days. Let Shubunkin relax in your room till next week. It's a tough breed. You don't need a Heater. Only be careful when the temperature goes up & down suddenly. and the most important point is You should never feed it too much until filter will be matured.
@gerry200008. Si. 2 or 3 pairs. I keep this Blue and 2 smaller Shubun-kin, Tosa-kin, Choubi, Pearl scale & 8 Kinbuna in 55L tank. ( I feel It's The Limit.). If you want to keep Blue color, don't give them Sun light. Black is unstable color because of Melanin. but If you want to make them more vivid Red & Yellow color, Keep them outside in Green water. Shubun-kin is a tough Pet Fish and will be Big. maybe because it's crossed with Carassius langsdorfii Red Form.
@gerry200008 Don't Cry. Try to ask to a pet shop near your house. "Shubun-kin" is one of the most common Goldfish. Also It's Easy to Create by yourself. Can you find " Comet " and "Calico color Goldfish" ? If you Cross them, You will have "Shubunkin" like Fish Babies even in 1 generation (if You are Lucky). or Please wait till one day I will have a Fish farm in somewhere not here! (but need help and place >_<..)
what type of rare shinunkins are there i have a large female in one of my pons she is nearly fully blue and bright orange around her eyes are there any rare types i have a fishless 200 liter pond i want to breed in and i have a heater to that can heat up the whole pond
