  • Zhao Boa Village and Chen Village are very near about 50 KM. Therefore, the forms of taiji are similar, but also different in some parts. Most of taiji masters has learnt some other Kung Fu. Therefore, they will mix with taiji in their own form.

Even ZhaoBoa taiji, there are many forms, big and small, fast and slow, up and down. However, the basic principles are same. Relaxation, upright, and sinking in pelvis. all power is rotary force.

  • Zhao Bao is the the name of a vilage where a Chen master lived and he was of the Chen Wanting lineage, all Chen players know this and Zhao Bao does not dispute it.. Wudang even now claims that it originated Baqua! What crap. Good performance

  • @chentaichiacademy 3:06 was the only thing that reminded me of bagua.

  • @chentaichiacademy I'm sorry, but Zhao Bao not disputing "Chen Lineage" is an opinion, not fact. Have a look what He Youlu of Zhao Bao He Tai Chi Chuan has said regarding this. Zhao Bao is not decended from Chen Style Tai Chi Chuan. (I'm not putting this here to argue, only to show readers this is not agreed upon)

  • The missing link between tai chi and yoga? Do you mean Qi gong?

  • Thank you DB. Zhao Bao is also the oldest form of Ta Chi. It is the missing link between tai chi chuan and yoga. This summer I'll be doing a workshop on Zhao Bao so keep a look out. Peace

  • By far the most strange and difficult branch of Taiji! Requires quite a bit of intelligence to understand from what i have been able to tell. Very impressive my friend! You dont get to see this kind of gongfu in many of us westerners. Salute!

  • really cool....5 star

  • yes, this is very very good demo of a very difficult form of TaiJi, but if you want to see the original, do a search for "Zhao Bao Taiji", (it shows him on a pink colored floor).

Liu Jinquan's performance in that video from a 2003 tournament in Hong Kong is even more amazing. The best version of Zhao Bao I have seen.

  • Very nice Zhao Bao!! Thanks for ur share!!
