  • Do you have any more videos of this part of Virginia?

  • Wow I never thought I would see a video about trains at beaver dam virginia. I remember the first time going there by train and guess what, we caught the RF&P to doswell being pulled by a 484 northern engine I have seen many a train on this part of the line like steam trains with pushers in the rear, the little yellow motor car the track crew used. I remember a certain person shot out the signal lights in '68 and backed up trains to Richmond, WOW.

  • MAN I see Beaverdam hasn't changed!!! I am so glad I got out of their! nothing going on to fun in that area LMAO. Grew up in Lake Anna parents still their if you like it I guess congrats cause I didn't.

  • Your welcome Blue. My Brother lives in Louisa, Va. but closer to Bump - ass

    Len.

  • Thank you for the memories! Beaverdam is my hometown; 18 glorious years, thousands of trains coming through town, then continuing west on the tracks a field away from my house (could always hear them come by!!)

No better place to grow up. :)

  • Here in Richmond, there was an excavation started earlier this year to unearth a steam locomotive trapped in a 1020s cave in. The city stopped it because of 'lack of permits'.

  • Correstion:1920s, not 1020s.

  • Oh Cool. My Brother lives in Louisa, Va.

  • Hey Zack, how did you know that?

  • I live in the area!

  • That's Hanover county going in/out of Richmond!
