i feel that Aikido and Aikijujutsu are two sides of the same coin, the yin and yang of each other. it is a good thing that O-Sensei introduced more zen into the art of Aikijujutsu and created Aikido and made it about the essence of being a martial artist. If someone learns martial arts solely to pick fights on the street, to lean on it as a keystone weapon in conflicts, to use it to bully and intimidate others -- then that person, in my opinion, cannot be considered a true martial artist.
no and thank you for no being a stupid motherfucker and replayng in an angry mane you are the only one and weirdly i practice this art and yes i can tell it is what were doing thatk you for the demostracion
There are several splinter factions of Daito Ryu right now...because of politics and secret training....i have studied under three different groups of Daito...and they seem to focus on different principles within the scrolls....Hakuho Kai feels very different then Roppokai to me...I wont give away why ...hehehehehehe
To the general masses who read this, Aiki-Jujutsu is the highest level of combat arts in Japan...Aikido is the little defense brother of the older combat art

@TheCylrin The politics is stupid and brings only dishonour to thier dojo and themselves. We are all following the Martial Way. There is no place in the Martial Way for ego and politics. Aikido is effective in what it seeks to do and i have Osu for it for it promotes the cultivation of the Ki (Chi) and development of character. One can still do that and also be combat effective as well. Just as one can chew gun and walk at the same time. Hard Style and Soft Style as one whole.
Excellent demo. But please do not confuse Daito-ryu and Skinbukan Kuroda with one another. Historically, they were designed as schools of war. The Aizu were fearsome in one-on-one hand-to-hand style combat and the Kuroda family was known for there sword and spearmenship. Both trained to effectively kill the other though their respective arts. But please do not confuse the two it is disrespectful to both Soke's and both schools.
Thank you for your comment, but I am sorry I do not know Mr. Kuroda and his arts well, and I have never met him.
My techniques is Daitoryu Aiki Jujutsu. I was taught it by my master Nagao Zenyu; an apprentice of Kakuyoshi Yamamoto, who was the last apprentice of Sokaku Takeda.
Therefore if you think I have confused my techniques as Mr. Kuroda’s, I am sure that you are misunderstanding about it. Thank you.
I apologize for my lack of direction in regard to my comment. My comment was aimed at maceioninjutsu not at yourself. Ichirakusai3-san I meant no disrespect towards you or the Daito-ryu. To the contrary I was on your side and wished to clarify a statement made by someone who clearly did not understand the differences between the two koryu. Please, accept my regrets at the misunderstanding to both youself and Zenyu Shihan. Thank you.
@clderdeyn Thank you. I am an aikido practitioner. I think all aikidoka should be familiar with their roots. Understanding fundamental technique before aspiring to philosophical ideals is key to becoming good at your respective art.
Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu is the origin of Aikido. It is more violent and brutal than Aikido. It's been around for hundreds of years so many refer to it as a traditional martial art. Definitely not a hybrid of Aikido and Judo because those two are modern martial arts.
@folkncoke Yes Daito ryu aikijujutsu could be called as the father of aikido, but it doesn't have hundreds of years, Takeda Sokaku the founder of the art, died in 1943. The concept of aiki by the other hand, is a lot older
@xXxstunner Takeda Sokaku learn daito ryu from his father and those techniques were on his family since generations. so, yes, daito ryu has hundred of years, at least more than 100
This is not a commercial. I love the arts, but are u telling me that just cause your arm is getting twisted you jump all over the place? I was instructed by a 5'2" Korean Master that could kick my aaa all over the place. you ever pissed red after a belt test? I mean really, have you ever had yo jewels smacked so hard that you could not find them? I made myself take 6 yrs.just to get a brown belt in Hapkido by Master Kim and it was that was smartest dession i have ever made!
