How the hell do I get this good? I've been playing for years but... at most, I get 3 chains here and there, and very rarely 4.

@AltairEgo1 lol well... i think it's a matter of upping your speed. then you'll start to see stuff. you might also need to learn how to skill chain, by moving pieces in between falling pieces to get chains going.

Well, I've been practicing lately, and finally.... I'm starting to see more stuff. 4s are becoming more common, and now I always get 3s;  Though I occasionally get very little 4s in some sessions when I'm not doing so hot. I'm also getting more creative in my methods of breaking pieces. Don't know if I'm as good as you at the moment, but I think I'm at least close.

=D Super Hard in this version is particularly easy I agree, and when you go to play Pokemon Puzzle League it is more of a challenge. In my opinion, if you're not playing Super Hard AT LEAST, then you're not playing at all. And for those that need "tools"....LOL really?

Wow, I'm glad I stumbled upon this page... I never knew there was a super hard mode in T.A. I never had anyone I could play with when I was a kid. I'd usually beat my siblings in 30 seconds or less and the "hard" computer level was a joke. I just tried super hard and it was fun... took me 3 attempts. But at least the comp puts up a fight!

BTW why did they make us use a cheat code to get to the super hard mode? That's not really fair. Before the internet we had no way to know about these levels and if you're good at TA, playing the "hard" level is not fun.

lol? if you beat Hard mode without losing, and then wait for the credits to end, the game would tell you how to get Super Hard mode, even on the original cart. I promise. ^_^

you can also go to options and set the cpu switch to on and the cpu level to 7, and then play against that computer in two player mode. good luck!

lol... well... i partially agree. I'll admit that I can move faster on the keyboard than I can on the controller, but when I do play on a controller, I do see the same chains and combos that I see on the computer.

so yeah, tech skill might be different, but being able to see the chains is all the same.

this is the best game for super nintendo and it is super hard if you hold L and R and up and then choose hard its awesome i love it i beat it today in 7 minutes and 30 seconds its fairly easy but semi challenging

There is no way this is super hard, teh ai sucks to much, this is regular hard, on S-hard they are much faster

look @ 0:53 and see the dark red background that lets you know its super hard.

the 1st level are still easy in S-Hard. Check Part 2 to see the more difficult battles.

i dunno if you or anybody else has ever noticed this, but i think there's a flaw in this games program: i've noticed in my own playing and in most videos here on youtube, that whenever the person gets to the fifth(frog) level, on average it takes about 30-50 seconds longer to finish, sometimes more, but it always takes extra effort to kill level 5! i swear to god i'm not kidding...anyone else notice this?

it's not the programming of the game... it has something to do with the mentality of level 5, like you get tired or something.

I'm working on a video where I demolish everyone in under a minute, and the stages that I have problems on sometimes include Stage 7 and 11.

You get a little story when you free your friends: "poochy is now free of the spell" or something like that. Then yoshi starts running over the rainbow, you know what i mean... you should then press L and R hold it, and then press start, you should be able to choose your friends then. :)

yesh it is S-Hard, you can tell by the color of the background during the dialogue. Hard = Purple, S-hard = Dark Red.

in fact, take blocks across (6) times max blocks up (12) and then divide that by 3 (24) because that's how many it takes to make any reaction. The only way to get higher than a 24 chain is by using the garbage blocks on your side against your opponent. Wish they could have given us problems like that in school...

34 chain x 3 pieces per chain = 102 pieces

13 maximum lines x 6 pieces per line = 78 pieces

78 pieces / 3 pieces per chain = 26 chain

So after mathematical anaylsis, the highest possible chain on your own is 26. That's only if you have a flat stack, raise it all the way too the top, and use 3 pieces per chain. But anything above 13 is pointless because the thickness of the garbage blocks stop at x12.

Im fairly certain that you cheat b/c the sound always cuts out right before you start the round as if you paused the game to plan out your intitail chains and than play the vid back at normal speed.
