It takes some great skill to score like Ovechkin does. He gets the puck off in tight spaces at full speed to score, whereas Crosby obviously favours the garbage from the side of the net. Either way a goals a goal in the NHL, no matter how you score it.

Crosby has played 8 games more then Ovechkin and only has a one goal lead on him. For the rest of the season with them playing an equal number of games Ovechkin will outscore everyone. If he hadn't been injured/suspended the scoring race would be a joke right now.

Yeah I love to watch players who put their hand down when they use toe drags or moves that require skill. Good examples are Alex Semin, Ryan Getzlaf, Nik Zherdev and Corey Perry or skilled defencemen like Dan Boyle or Mike Green. Great to watch guys like that making opponents look silly

Hell yeah. His point per game average last leason was like 1.27, good for 4th in the League. Too bad he only played 62 games. If Semin can stay healthy for a full season as well as staying on top of his game, I think he should easily make the top 5 in league scoring at season's end. Ovi might be the best goal scorer in the world, but Semin is a better passer for sure and probably more skilled too
didnt he end up with the most assists in the league last season?? hes pretty damn incredible he reminds me of marian gaborik (but a little luckier) gaborik would be in the top 10 at least for scoring if he could play more than a 50 game average per season, with last year him needing the same hip surgery as c.higgins. two seasons ago gabby played 46 games and had 32 goals.. both of these players are so damn explosive and fun to watch..
