@terrarune Boss characters are supposed to be beatablewhen you play them in the singleplayer mode, but they're not intended to be used in singleplayer (although developers sometimes let the players use them with a code) and are not balanced accordingly. I singleplayer they use all their different moves and have a "pattern" that you can learn, but if a player uses them, they can just spam the best moves over and over.

His hard mode AI does not abuse his hitstun escape as well as any competent player would, randomly wanders into your attacks, and does not have access to his ridiculous 60% combos. As an AI, he's obviously beatable. Agressive players destroy with him.

It seems that he can cancel out of hit stun. Considering that, then Igniz's infinites are useless, as he can just go invincible and spam the dp fireballs.

Magaki would have less of a chance and would probably get spammed to death.

Igniz I've seen though. Brutal God Project is useless, as a throw-type. With Ivan's projectile spam, Devil's Rejection 2 is usable. Hard to see how whip spam would interact with his 'get out of stun'.

I did say he can just fly out of range, which is the middle of both of those attacks' blind spots. His invincibility frames are seconds long so he can just counter on reaction anyway. Never mind it has follow up and he can out-prioritize with both his jab and fireball.

Rachel can't play rushdown because Ivan can play any style, and her usual set-ups won't work without wasting a bunch of wind to get him off.

The most broken move ever is Gill's Seraphic Wing. It can be dodged, you can't hurt he does, it can kill in one hit and even if you block it takes a 4th of your life bar.

I don't think Ivan the most overpowered character ever, but he is defiantly overpowered.

Are you kidding me? The only condition in which Seraphic Wing will OHKO is Twelve in his transformation phase. And maybe crouching Akuma. The move cannot be spammed (takes 1 meter) and blocking it isn't very catastrophic either. Ivan Ooze is far above and beyond Gill in terms of brokenness.
