@MrZkr123 I tink only in 2017. Sometimes the ETR 500 runs in France from Milan to Paris instead of the TGV R. It's happened around 2, 3 years ago... Now I don't now...
It looks like the ugly duckling and it is a piece of crap, even though the ETR 470 trains are even worse. Our ICE trains are also not a German masterpiece of engineering, TGV is still the best here in Europe.
@justanotherfreak2008 The ETR 610 seems to be a duck:-). The AGV is another dimension of train. The italian railways have ordered 25 AGV for the high speed lines in Italy...
After hearing of all the problems and having been a railroad fan all my life, I have to say: What a crappy piece of shit. Other nations can do so much better (TGV, ICE, Shinkansen). With its development history, this thing just fails. Oh well, at least it looks well, that will make worth it. NOT.
@swiitzerland The old Cisalpino had a lots of problems. You remember sure with the old ETR 470. The ICE has also problems. Three weeks ago, a car from an ICE 3 Amsterdam-Basel lost a door in a tunnel on the high speed line Köln-Frankfurt at 300 km/h. The door hurted another ICE 3 on the opposite direction. 8 people were blessed... 1 Years ago, on 2 ICE trains 1 axes broke down. For me the best high speed trains are the TGV. They can travel without problems at over 400 km/h...
Well, it hasn't really travelled that fast, it made it above 400 forr a few minutes, not really any long-time experience. Although I didn't hear of that ICE. How the hell can you "lose" a train door?
If the latches release and the door opens to the rear of the direction that the train is traveling, the hinges will not keep the door attached to the train at 300 kph.
If the latches aren't secured properly the airflow will rip the door from its hinges. I don't think it was a passenger door, rather a electrical compartment door.
I caught this service on 19 August 2009. On 13 December 2009 Cisalpino ceased to exist. I consider myself very fortunate to have experienced the 'Duck' (and in 1st Class too) as apart from many rattles it was a fine unit
I would love to see ETR 500's run to Germany

@MrZkr123 It's possible in a short future, when the Gotthard Tunnel will be ready:-)

@MrZkr123 why do you would to see a ETR 500 in Germany when you have a ICE that are the best train in Europe?

@MrZkr123 I didn't mean as a replacement i meant as a train that would connect Germany to Italy.

@hannub For me the TGV POS is the best:-)

Compared to ICE, TGV or AGV this one is so ugly, like pig. Poland is going to order these while i would like to see AGV on our tracks;)

I agree with you. Now the Swiss Railway and the Italian Railway succeeded to the Cisalpino Company.
