  • @jonee140 Not sure about this one... I'd google it.

  • i have 2 drives orignal is SATA and Second is ATA and I Want to Add two HD in my CPU and i have a problem

i dont know about jumper setting i want to make ATA master and Orignal (SATA) is slave can u help me plzzz

  • @SuperFakeHacker So you have a PATA and a SATA drive? And want to make the PATA drive the master? I would guess you would want to set the order within the BIOS that the PATA was 1st, then the SATA 2nd... SATA doesn't have MASTER/SLAVE settings.

I know if they were both SATA, the first SATA port is set to be the "master".

  • informative. thx man

  • dude!! wer does the second(new) sata cable end connected to , if starting is connected to hard disk drive??

  • @unlimitedluv The SATA drive will connect from to the mother board and to the power supply.

  • Will a 150GB hard drive work with a 1TB harddrive? I'm gonna use the 150GB hard drive for back up storage.

  • @M8DMAN Drive space will not matter.

  • I got a SSD 60 gigs for games and windows can I install a SATA on 900gb to I got all the cables?

  • @gotland1998 Drive space will not matter. It doesn't matter if you have a 900TB and a 120GB drive...

  • Could I ask a question? Why do you need to unplug the original HDD if you are going to just plug it back in again?

  • @topcat5665 I disconnected it so I would have more room to work.

  • @topcat5665 I unplugged the drive for space so I could easily add the second drive.

  • hi mom and boys and girls

  • What are some actions to take if my 2nd hard drive, a SATA, isn't being read? My SSD works fine.

  • @StormHornet56 Please see the information at the very end of the movie.

  • @simeonhendrix you forgot to fucking mention to touch the metal casing or something metal so you don't TRANSFER ELECTRIC SHOCK AND FRY YOUR COMPUTER. fucking tech illiterate.

  • I love the fact your "lab" is your dining room table ;) useful vid tho cheers

  • can you make a video on how to tranfer windows(vista) from a main hard drive to a second hard drive

  • @frozt2704 that would be a rad video, but I'll be honest, I probably won't be able to any time soon. Thanks for tuning in.

  • I hate the way you say sata

  • @seeall24123 Thank you.

  • @KeaGOGO Okay, if you are using Sata connections, then you will want to connect your hard drive with the operating system to the lowest possible Sata port, then the second drive to the higher port. This should resolve the issue.

  • I got a new pc myself from Cyberpowerpc and it came in just the day before yesterday.

Smooth pc and all, runs all my games on ultra just i hadn't noticed it only came with 60GB hdd.

I happened to have some extra HDD's but there not SATA.

With this tutorial i was able to know everything i really needed.

Any advice to where to get cheap good hdd's ?

  • @Omarsiv2 Great. I'm glad that the video was useful. As far as where to find cheap hard drives... I'd check ebay.

  • You should make more videos like this dude

  • @benneale28 Good idea... my mind is always so schizophrenic it seems... perhaps we'll see some more tutorials/how-to's in 2012. I appreciate the input.

  • Thanks for this, really helped me install my hd

  • @benneale28 Muchas Gracias.

  • Helpful as hell.

  • @Omarsiv2 Excellent.

  • hey can you tranfer application to the other hard drive by put it in the same computer i have a blank hard drive in i want to install windows 7 can you tranfer windows 7 to the blank hd

  • @frozt2704 I'm not sure about transferring Windows from one drive to another, but you certainly can install Windows on the newly installed 2nd hard drive.

  • @simeonhendrix thanks alot man i wish u the best of luck

  • @MrSkullxd

well first off make sure your motherboard can fit another hard drive(and u have enough connectors from ur power supply). if it can, then i would just grab another case thats larger, they not much. think u can get a pretty nice size one on tigerdirect for like 30-50 bucks. so yeah, just get a bigger case or a case with more space for a hard drive

  • man i cant find space in my pc to put the new hard drive where should i put it

  • @MrSkullxd yes, please make sure that your computer case, mother board, and power supply can support a second hard drive. can fit a second hard drive.

  • some ide computers have a built in data conector to the data cord so you do not need one

  • @simeonhendrix awesome video sir helpful

  • @rockfans1 Excellent. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • that is not a lab dude its a living room

  • Most desktops will have room for a second (or third) hard drive bay. Most desktop power supplies will have power for multiple drives. The additional sata connector should be purchased when you purchase your second hard drive. The screws should be already within the case, but double check that b/c I've ran into situations where there aren't extra screws. Thanks for the question.

  • Do new desktops come with muliple drive bays AND the sata connector cable AND power cables and screws ,or will I habe to buy the 2 cables and screws when I buy the 2nd drive ?
