  • Lol I miss when Cosmo didn't have a cap card it was fun and the stream chat wasn't annoying as hell

  • @Lempy101

I can understand that is was more fun when the stream chat wasn't annoying but why are you against him using a capture card?

Console > Emulator (in my opinion)

  • @Ponyship5 Probably more people watch if the quality is good, especially annoying people.

  • lol @ "This run was just so good... I don't know if I could beat this"

  • 2.35.56 the other night, broke his own damn record again.

  • @MisterHeroman His record is 2:31:45

  • @Kosmicd12 Nvm then, thanks.

  • Cosmo got 2:35 flat on AGDQ.

  • I thought you could z target the witch you wanted to hit and shield and you'd be guaranteed to reflect the right blast into the right witch in the twinrova fight. Is that wrong? Would that save a couple of seconds?

  • pfft chuck norris could do this any day! xD but seriously dude good job! i finished a speed run on the legend of zelda ocarina of time and i timed myself... i got 3:20:34 took me forever to get the master sword glitch to work =.= but i ended up doing it but i want to try harder and get a time like you ^_^

  • none of this was in the walkthrough

  • Just beat the record again, 2:33:08

  • @dazza2708 Wow that's fast. Did he skip something or take a different route?

  • Comment removed

  • he sounds like ForceStarcraft!!!

  • U seriously broke the game =D

  • I love zelda speedrun's page con not be found!

  • I think I'm turning Japanese!

  • you glitched the crap outa this shiz nitz

  • lol you got a new controller because this one was too worn out.

  • Water Temple...done..so..quick. Must Bow Down..

    FUCK THE WATER TEMPLE GAHHHH.

  • Recorded on a webcam.

  • I thought that if you beat the Shadow and Spirit temple the game assumed you finished all temples and it would trigger the light arrow cut scene?

  • @danielkraak It does, it's just that the entire purpose of this run is to complete all the dungeons.

  • @DietFrizz Yes I know he wanted to complete all dungeons. I just thought that the cut scene in the temple of time would be automatically triggered after receiving the spirit medaillon, but it turns out you do have to go there.

  • whats with the tree? the first temple

  • dude that was awsome,.. realy realy good,. ur the greatest Z.O.O.T gamer

    that was sooooo awesome xDDD

  • @sparky2603415 lol you time is 2:45:57 but my time is 2:45:56 :)

  • That took me 3 months of my childhood......FUCK YOU

  • @maxd654321 dont feel down, you how much time he had to take to practice all these glitches? and do it ALL in one session? dont worry i quit oot at the water temple when it came out as a kid but finished it a few years later xD

  • @erickgm15 thats what i did

  • I love how he insults Guiness' authority on video game records.

  • yeah im pretty sure this is a world record finishing all the temples but the world record holder for glitch running is counted from when link gets out of his bed to the time he beats ganon (not all temples completed) which is 2:26:56, good run though thumbs up

  • Nintendo is like; fuck you, Cosmo. :P

  • @sparky2603415 holy reference

  • u were very close to the world record! keep tring and u will sucseed

  • Epic gainers bro!

  • 2:12:00 That's some award winning drama right there.

  • link in description doesnt work

  • NO! Yes....Maybe?

  • best game ever. lol i remember when I was 8 years old this took me 6 months to beat

  • He just beat this score with a 2:40:44.39

  • @CreatorJABM can't find it, please link me?

  • lol when i think of looked up a speedrun for this game i wasnt thinking glitching was a main part of it xD

  • nice. i really enjoyed watching this :)

  • ow does he moon walk at 15:55? i have the japan gold cartrage for n64 how does he moon walk? please respond the button combination in coment please thats freekin sick! =)

  • Cosmo makes it look easy >.<

  • this game is so damn glitched its crazy

  • @acplight A lot of games are way more glitchy. But with LoZ OoT people have the patient to search for them all.

It is the second highest rating game for a reason. :)

  • was this played on a pc? just curious.. heard a bunch of smashing noises haha

  • @LeeMon920 It was played on Wii virtual console using a gamecube controller and filmed with a webcam.

  • @LeeMon920 that is him smashing the a and b button xD

  • i watched the whole thing!

  • is collecting the heart container required for the all dungs run or do you just do that in case you die?

  • @Kosmicd12 it's in case he dies.

  • @noscreenname1 oh :) thanks! i figured as much because it doesnt take very much time to get the heart and its worth less risk of dying :)

  • @Kosmicd12 Not exactly what Noscreenname1 said. As he skips the Goron Tunic, he gets a time limit in the Fire Temple. For each one of your hearts you'll get 8 seconds extra time. He has 10 hearts which gives him a total of 80 seconds.

This time is mainly needed for the boss. As you can see, he had only 1 second left on the timer once he was done. Once it reaches 0, you die.

  • @Tomtelala @Kosmicd12 True, I admit I was wrong. But he does nearly die in some polaces, so it's good for survival.

  • @Tomtelala oh that makes a lot of sense. thanks for the info! :) i was wondering why each time i went in the fire temple it would always come up with a "random" amount of time. now i know :)

  • dude you are amazing... great speedrun never thought there was all this glitches in the game

  • haha you've probably spent like a month of your life on the opening cutscene xD

  • @ 21:17 epic chuck nores jump

  • @dogkiller07: It's already out.

  • Alot of your videos aren't encoded, SL. If you need an encoder, just gimme a shout-out, I think it'd be great to work on such great runs. Speak to me on tasvideos' IRC.

  • If only normal human beings cpould c-stick songs that fast 0.o

  • Your time was 43:48, but i beat you by one second

  • This is using the Japanese version, which is heavily faster thanks to using Japanese language instead of English. That's the main reason why this run is faster.

It is also using different timing. This ends the timing on the last hit delivered on Ganon, while TASes ends timing on the final input, which is about 3 minutes later.

  • Is this really faster than the TAS? Why is that?

  • @AcePro Oops, forgot to reply to you... See the message I just wrote.

  • @AcePro TAS is ALWAYS going to be faster. It means Tool assisted speedrun, which means people advance frame by frame with inputs every frame, so there are virtually NO mistakes. Basically, the medeoker way. Real speedruner sit down with a controller in their hands and play the game as fast as they can.

TAS's don't use cheat codes BTW, just glitches.

  • @noscreenname1 I know what a TAS is, and I love them. I was asking why this was faster than the TAS version of the same game, and the guy said it was mostly the faster text and stop point, which makes sense to me now. Thanks anyway =)

  • Quick turns using Z-targeting (I think?) and using the hover boots to preserve the momentum.

  • How was he doing forward backflips?

  • @SmileyJost backflip while not Z-targeting and press z again. The most consistn way is to MASH Z AS HARD AS YOU CAN TWICE WHILE DOING A BACKFLIP.

  • how do you get this on a us wii

  • @schmittenful Go to the Wii store and buy it. It's about $10 CAD and you need a GC controller.

  • @Ceb773 can't you use the classic controller, too?

  • @Gamerfreak910 You mean the classic Wii controller? I'm not sure, I've never tried it. I'd assume so, though.

  • @Gamerfreak910 I've never tried it, but I'd assume so

  • watched whole thing and I loved all the tricks and glitches used :)

  • i cant get that water temple early. its hard

  • Can't wait til this game for the 3DS comes in:) it's gonna be awesome:)

  • @dogkiller07 it did =D -_-

  • took me 5 years to finish the game i think i should winn a medal

  • @darkBender99

O.O 5 years? You must have taken your time :P. I suggest going through it again, it's very fun. I beat OoT 4 times on 64. Master Quest once. and Now I'm playing through OoT 3D for 3Ds. Amazing game

  • Cosmo's the best around and noe one will ever put him down.

  • Oh yeah my bad

  • Congrats on the nice speedrun!

  • @criminal90210 what that is is future games follow child storyline such as windwaker but other games like twilight princess follow adult storyline

  • Lmao

    Navi: listen

    Cosmo: ugh shut uup!

  • holy shit, watched the whole thing >:O blew me away ^^ could feel the tension in the air at the final parts, mustve been quite a relief!

  • My best speedrun of this game is an AMAZING 8 HOURS alright i suck.

At least i played the game through in one sitting.

  • @pokemoncheatur wow! Thats good... My record is like... 3 weeks :(

  • @PuqTheBest Yeah... but I have like.. no life, and most games come naturally to me. Zelda being one of em.

Did a 3-heart run in 3 days, finished it yesterday. Think I'll put my MQ version on Youtube when I get that one done.. Whenever that may be.

  • so did you import the japanese text game or was it a option on the game cube

  • so did you import the japanese text or was it a option on the game cube

  • one thing I do love about console speedruns...the tiny little human mistakes you see. :D it's a good thing, it's a different breed than TASs.

  • what happened when the stream went off?

  • WHAT CONTROLLER DO YOU USE

  • Very nice run. That was pretty tight in the end of the deku tree at the 3 scrubs when you blindly turned and hit the last one. :}

  • I just love the sound of the buttons on the controller

  • es ofisial o.o ?

  • Wow, what a liar. Telling Zelda you had the Spiritual Stone when you had none.

  • How do they get that timer? Or

How do they time the speedrun?

  • @DavidMMSM

RTA timing is used - timing starts at resets, and ends when the boss dies.

You can get the timer on the side with a nice program called Xsplit. When you stream, you can have more then one window in the stream at a time. It's very useful, and many streamers use it. The best timer to use is Wsplit, but it wasn't out at the time this run was created (I think).

  • @Moist64 Thanks.

  • Lol this game took me 3 months to complete haha

  • lol at 2:17:25

    Link: When did this happen?

  • awesome!

  • What was the point of going through that one door in Jabu Jabu's Belly with Ruto that many times?

  • how do you manage to jump straight to the cucco jump post? (around 20:45)

I always come up way short

  • the boss of speedruns

  • @EkulTheKing

Nvm I realized why... Give him enough time against volvagia

  • man i missed this game.

  • So... Why pick up heart containers? I can't see how that saves any time...

  • Is this a tas?

  • @disturbedhalo117

nope. its a speed run, no tool assisted needed. Tas woulda been a lot faster =)

  • @darknight550 Not really. This video is a response to the TAS by Bloobielba clocking in at 2 hours 51 minutes and 19 seconds. But both of these are all dungeon completion videos.

  • i noticed that you can only go through the secret doors with glowing green eyes

  • Navi said "listen" in English!

  • what's SDA?

  • @disturbedhalo117

SDA is an abbreviation for Speed Demos Archive. It is a website that hosts numerous speed run videos like this one (except with better video quality).

  • how the heck do you do backwards circles like that?!

  • @zeldazoneman

Start backwalking, then hold diagonally-downwards on the control stick and let go of the Z/R button and rotate the control stick inwards and continue to rotate the stick in a slow circular motion.

  • getting into jabu is that easy?

  • 1:42:29 Golden shower!

  • Might I ask why it is in a foreign text? :p And what site do you follow now?

  • @yeroc1337 The Japanese version was used because it has faster text. For Zelda speedruns, follow the site ZeldaSpeedRuns. We also have a lot of members who competitively play Super Mario 64 and other games, too.

  • @SwordlessLink I've seen you on JTV before..

  • So, in the end, Ganondorf is still alive/free in the Past... meaning that you have accomplished nothing for the 2nd half of the game after you become an adult. Many holes in the plot and story can be found in Ocarina of Time, and even the entire Legend of Zelda storyline.

  • Very nice speedrun. Another great addition.

  • 10:20, he jumped into water, explain please?

  • @VexKasrani

He did something called the Actor Overwrite Glitch; at around 9:56, he you hear a door unlock and open, but he doesn't leave the room. Some of the actors in the room behind that door are loaded, which causes some of the actors in the original room to be overwritten. One of these actors is the water, so he can access the crawlspace below the water without lowering the water level. The "water" that you see him jump through is just a graphic that doesn't have collision.

  • @darkeye14 Thank you for explaining it clearly for me ;]

  • Why are the credits in English?

  • awesome the way u get trough a big key door haha

  • Its as if im hearing a fighstick ; Sick speedrun

  • Lmao when he fights twinrova he spams hookshot and they spin in a circle XD

  • Whats your best time without abusing glitches?

  • I really enjoyed this run....especially the Fire Temple....very suspenseful.

  • Didn't realize you could glitch your way past that stupid forest kid blocking the first path.

  • Absolutely insane. Your video kinda cut out after the spirit temple for a bit but otherwise its incredible. Forest and Deku were undeniably the best. LOL at 1 second before finishing fire temple. =P The whole entire run was just amazing man. Even losing some of the time in the water trial, or the beginning, or the bomb luck in spirit temple. Sure maybe you could do better, but thats constructive critisizm. Stupid text limit in youtube >_>...anyways its runs like this that motivate me. Amazing.

  • I guessed it was a Wii cause of the clicking of the bumpers, which meant it was a gamecube controller, and i guessed it was Japanese because it looked diff from Chinese. Im pretty proud of myself. Awesome run btw

  • Comment removed

  • May I ask what the timer in Fire Temple was for? Why was it so crucial to beat? I don't recall having to beat a timer when I played, so maybe I just missed something important. :P

  • @Graviteh I think it was because he wasn't wearing/didn't get the red Goron Tunic which absorbs heat. Thus the timer telling him that he can't survive in the Fire Temple for a long period of time while wearing the normal green Kokiri tunic. :)

  • @Graviteh What variety927 said. Heat survival time is also determined by the number of hearts you have, which is why Cosmo does Fire Temple last, as at that point, he would've collected all the heart containers he needs to survive and beat the temple.

  • great run man!

what's up with you're 31:49 as best on jabu jabu? seems impossible to be true, since it would have taken you 12 minutes to get master sword then, idk.

  • Cosmo made my day.

  • It's like Murphy's law: When you need bombs, you don't get them, when you don't need bombs, you find it in every bush.

  • @oligi3008 hi

  • @Fiercelinkmaster76 Hi, with more luck on the bombs this run can be beaten.

(BTW this run contains trolling guays)

  • whats tas stand for?

  • @kinkajuu1 Tool-Assisted Speedrun. Like speedrunning using save states and stuff on emulators.

  • Ive never actually watched a run the whole way through, but this one I did, and it was great! :D

  • I almost shit myself at the one second left mark at Volvagia.

The "nooo!" he said also sounded pretty funny.

  • Fuck my computer died like halfway through now im lost.

    FINE. *restarts from beginning :D*

  • Volvagia time... oh my god that was so hype

this entire run was endlessly excellent, and an undeniable world record as he said

  • What a great run! I watched every minute

  • How did you get to that tunnel at 10:15?

  • How is that programm on left side called?

  • Amazing run man =))

  • Omg this guy knows this game so well and puts me to shame lol

  • why is he walking backwards?

  • @Helli6n because it's faster than forwards ^^

  • @Helli6n faster duh
