That was a close competition. I mean you had a 6 year old with the voice of a goddess. A prodigy that could very well be the next big thing. Then you have a humble regular guy, who had a regular life like the rest of us, who had talent but nobody noticed because they didn't believe in him. Two very talented contestants, each with their own extraordinary story for all to know, and they happen to be on the finals in the show. Coincidence?...

I can't believe that anyone who saw Connie's Final performance could say it was better than this one. Yes, she had great poise for a six year old, singing in front of a live audience and millions more on national television. But she was all over the place with her tones and mis-hit quite a few notes. And I thought she didn't project as much emotion as she could have. Is Connie talented? Yes. Is she way more talented than others in her peer group (age), compared to Paul Potts? I don't think so.
