I actually didn't have too many problems with this stage. Only took me half an hour to perfect run this stage. I give Elec Man a 3/10. The only two major problems are the second Spine room and Big Eye. Elec Man himself, once you figure out the "Revenge" method, he's pretty much shut down.

More realistically I'd also like to see you go back through and abuse the robot master weapons with still perfect runs. Wouldn't be quite as difficult but still be interesting to watch.
I just finished doing a perfect run of this game too, but I thought Fireman was the hardest stage to do. The room where you had to dodge the fire walls or whatever they are came down to pretty much luck for me. All the enemies in Elecman's stage had a pattern you could memorize. Plus, I figured out how to get Elecman into an even easier pattern.

Wow... Just commented on your Iceman run some while ago about the rating... And I were to right now as well! But I guess it's our different strategies that makes the rating that different. When I started my run I knew some ppl would give some masters a higher rating so I shouldn't be surprised... Congrats on the challenge though! Welcome to the club of makind the impossible possible! I don't know if someone's already answered this, but yeah, the Watchers in Powered up are invincible until their telescopic eyes come out. Note they can be killed before they fire, it's just very difficult.
If it turns out to be viable for my purposes, yes. I have had some though where two part vids combined would still go over that, so we'll see how things go.

What confuses me, is you've told me on several occasions you go in buster only for the added difficulty, yet you complain about it being TOO hard. It appears to me that if one doesn't attack at this situation with the upmost of care, one might be seen and come across of being no less than a hypocrite. I do not feel like doing Wily stages currently. I don't enjoy them as much as Robot Master stages, to me they're fairly boring comparitively. If I ever do them, it will be when I feel like it.
I have an easy way to beat Elec Man without taking any (accidently too).
What you just have to do is get Elec Man on the high ground and push him towards the wall while you stay on low ground hugging the brick. If done right (it's not to pull off fortunately), Elec Man will continue to use his attack above you, leaving him vulnerable for the rest of the fight.
Probably a bad question but can you explain the thunder beam pause trick? Is it just firing it and pausing it a bunch as it passes through yellow devil (Kinda like what you do to cancel out and in with alot of weapons in MM9) or is there more to the pause trick then that? I've honestly never used the thunder beam trick before and I'd like to know what it is for certain in case I ever wanted to try it out.
In the NES version of MM1, pressing select would pause the game, but without bringing up the weapon menu. You could use this with good timing to score multiple hits with piercing weapons like the Thunder Beam.
The watchers aren't a problem on PSP. At least not on Easy or Normal. At those difficulties you can just keep climbing and they won't hit you. I don't know about Hard mode though.
I can verify that the watchers in Mega Man Powered Up don't take damage until their little eyes come out. A similar thing with the jumping big eyes too, they don't take damage until they open their eye. Which makes fighting them pointless.
I've always felt Elec Man is the most difficult boss in the series, overall, although not so much in trying to avoid being hit. He kills you in three hits, so beating him the normal way while taking damage is still a challenge.
Jeez, they made Big Eyes even tougher? o.o; And yes, Elec Man is a challenge, any way you slice it. Even if you have the Rolling Cutter, he can STILL get you if you aren't careful.
nah! elecman in powered up is.....well......you can take advantage of him if you figth him as gutsman...
see....elecman HAVE to go Back and forth to attack with the Thunder Beam or the Thunder Bolt...but if you CREATE a gutsblock in front of him while running to the other side of the screen, he just run to the guts-block...just running into it, not even jumping over it! he's just stuck!
then you can just trow as many guts-bocks till you kill him, no joke...i discovered thatin my first try.....
Definitely, Quick Man is actually pretty easy, his reputation for being so hard is doing it without being hit. With Elec Man, you can only be hit a maximum of two times and beat him, meaning you practically have to beat him without getting hit anyway. Quick Man is probably the hardest to not get hit on, I'll admit that, but for the average player, getting through Elec Man is pretty hard.
actually, yeah, the watchers are actually invencible in powered up if they don't have the eyes open...BUT they're almost dodgable...so don't worry tough....
but im gonna laugh when you try the Timeman Stage, those friking pendulums! xD
trust me, you don't wanna... even in easy mode those frickin pendulums are hard to avoid! even using the Frickin Time Slow of timeman... (as timeman and with his power) and wath is worst, THEY AREN'T DESTROYED BY ANYTHING, ive tried every weapon in the game (even timeman's shoots) and they don't stop...
man, it is a pain to pass in normal for me, especially some section of it...but good lordi have timeman unlocked already...
I think that using the special weapons for support like super arm or lazer bem ins't too much aagainst the "buster only" rules, only if you hit an enemy with them, of course... and... i fight the yellow devil always with the buster... why? because I don't have the timing to use the pause trick...
Right, I'm coming to that conclusion as well, which may lead to me eventually doing the non-Robot Master stages eventually. For now though, I'm more interested in just doing those.

I'm guessing you're joking, at least I hope so X) If it was really possible to do them all buster only, I'd probably be enough of a glutton for punishment that I'd go for it, but as I said, that's not possible.
Right, the best I could really manage with a lot of Wily Stages is "no damage," and using only the buster whenever I can. Granted, I was forced to use Rush Coil in some of the MM3 stages, so maybe I'll do it eventually, just using Robot Master weapons and utility items when there's no other choice.
Well, that's what the master weapons are all about! Heck, even the second set of Robot Master levels in MM8 were based highly on using the weapons from the first bunch.
Still, a no-damage run is crazy good; your outtakes show just how easy it is to blow one - and sometimes not even -entirely- at your own fault!
I'd love to see how far you get in one of the Endless Attack hacks! (Which so far, include MM2, MM3, and MM5... or technically, just the "Rockman" variations thereof.)

after watching a lot of ure vids i think u should do wily stages perfect run but not buster only cuz well in some of ure other vids u used other weapons :P

I do not feel like doing Wily stages currently. I don't enjoy them as much as Robot Master stages, to me they're fairly boring comparitively. If I ever do them, it will be when I feel like it.

I have an easy way to beat Elec Man without taking any (accidently too).
What you just have to do is get Elec Man on the high ground and push him towards the wall while you stay on low ground hugging the brick. If done right (it's not to pull off fortunately), Elec Man will continue to use his attack above you, leaving him vulnerable for the rest of the fight.

I think it is worth doing the Wily stages---perfect run where you use Buster except where it is not possible to go without it.

Probably a bad question but can you explain the thunder beam pause trick? Is it just firing it and pausing it a bunch as it passes through yellow devil (Kinda like what you do to cancel out and in with alot of weapons in MM9) or is there more to the pause trick then that? I've honestly never used the thunder beam trick before and I'd like to know what it is for certain in case I ever wanted to try it out.

In the NES version of MM1, pressing select would pause the game, but without bringing up the weapon menu. You could use this with good timing to score multiple hits with piercing weapons like the Thunder Beam.

Im MMPU the watchers were easier cause in the original as soon as they opened they fire but in MMPU they wait about a second.

The watchers aren't a problem on PSP. At least not on Easy or Normal. At those difficulties you can just keep climbing and they won't hit you. I don't know about Hard mode though.

I can verify that the watchers in Mega Man Powered Up don't take damage until their little eyes come out. A similar thing with the jumping big eyes too, they don't take damage until they open their eye. Which makes fighting them pointless.
I've always felt Elec Man is the most difficult boss in the series, overall, although not so much in trying to avoid being hit. He kills you in three hits, so beating him the normal way while taking damage is still a challenge.

Jeez, they made Big Eyes even tougher? o.o; And yes, Elec Man is a challenge, any way you slice it. Even if you have the Rolling Cutter, he can STILL get you if you aren't careful.

nah! elecman in powered up is.....well......you can take advantage of him if you figth him as gutsman...
see....elecman HAVE to go Back and forth to attack with the Thunder Beam or the Thunder Bolt...but if you CREATE a gutsblock in front of him while running to the other side of the screen, he just run to the guts-block...just running into it, not even jumping over it! he's just stuck!
then you can just trow as many guts-bocks till you kill him, no joke...i discovered thatin my first try.....

Definitely, Quick Man is actually pretty easy, his reputation for being so hard is doing it without being hit. With Elec Man, you can only be hit a maximum of two times and beat him, meaning you practically have to beat him without getting hit anyway. Quick Man is probably the hardest to not get hit on, I'll admit that, but for the average player, getting through Elec Man is pretty hard.

After trying to do this stage with a buster only AND taking no damage, I have a newfound respect for you.
In the end, I had to cave and use Rolling Cutter against Elec Man.

actually, yeah, the watchers are actually invencible in powered up if they don't have the eyes open...BUT they're almost dodgable...so don't worry tough....
but im gonna laugh when you try the Timeman Stage, those friking pendulums! xD

trust me, you don't wanna... even in easy mode those frickin pendulums are hard to avoid! even using the Frickin Time Slow of timeman... (as timeman and with his power) and wath is worst, THEY AREN'T DESTROYED BY ANYTHING, ive tried every weapon in the game (even timeman's shoots) and they don't stop...
man, it is a pain to pass in normal for me, especially some section of it...but good lordi have timeman unlocked already...

I think that using the special weapons for support like super arm or lazer bem ins't too much aagainst the "buster only" rules, only if you hit an enemy with them, of course... and... i fight the yellow devil always with the buster... why? because I don't have the timing to use the pause trick...

Uhh, there's 5 Super Arm blocks right at the entrance. Not to mention a 2-to-3 screen wide section with spiked ceilings and floors.
No way you're gonna "Buster Only" that. IMPOSSIBLE. (It would be cool to just see a playthrough, though. Fair is fair.)

Right, the best I could really manage with a lot of Wily Stages is "no damage," and using only the buster whenever I can. Granted, I was forced to use Rush Coil in some of the MM3 stages, so maybe I'll do it eventually, just using Robot Master weapons and utility items when there's no other choice.

Well, that's what the master weapons are all about! Heck, even the second set of Robot Master levels in MM8 were based highly on using the weapons from the first bunch.
Still, a no-damage run is crazy good; your outtakes show just how easy it is to blow one - and sometimes not even -entirely- at your own fault!
I'd love to see how far you get in one of the Endless Attack hacks! (Which so far, include MM2, MM3, and MM5... or technically, just the "Rockman" variations thereof.)
