Sorry, but this documentary just plain out lied about the theory of Panspermia.
Panspermia doesn't mean that we were planted here by any sentient force.
Panspermia means that the seeds of life and organic materials come from comets, meteors, meteorites, debris, etc. that crashes onto a planet's surface.

Panspermia occurred and various elements were brought together on our planet which in turn caused chemical processes to occur which eventually resulted in amino acids being created which then resulted in organisms being created, which got more diverse and advanced as time went on.
