Yeah but those were not the right settings perhaps, cuz I kept on doing tuns of left rolls and only succeeded one. Anyway, the settings were: all off (including hints icon) except shadows, reflection and water effects on.
In general it works well, but due to the lack of higher fps on PS2, there are some shortcuts you won't be able to perform. I'm afraid those two fall under the second category, though I'm not entirely sure about that. :/
Also note that backward rolls are working better with lower fps, whilst the left rolls are preferable with higher ones. ;)
I've tried these two wonderful shortcuts you found but I failed for most times. However, I wonder whether these shortcuts could be done most successfully at exact 60FPS? Due to my poor graphic card, I can't do it precisely at 60FPS here.
You should be fine with the first shortcut, even at lower fps, as long as they are constant!
For the 2nd one, I later found out that it is much easier to perform, if you turn Lara about 90 degrees to the right, while standing onto that plant at her left side.
From that position you should be able to succeed a left roll glitch, even at a minimum of 30 fps (I guess). ;)

Thank you for encouragements. ^^ But to be frank, even if I try my best to make it, MMAN might still beat my records. He's almost a God...o.O
As for my current graphic card, it's a poor ATI Radeon X300. T_T
I'm planning to buy a new 8800GT or GS something. GTX is just way too expensive beyond the standard that I can afford.
