  • Lifeless. I hate hate hate this staging concept. A vaudeville/march without drums? Makes no sense at all. Think about that, John Doyle.

  • @tommytimp I don't agree that I hate this staging concept, but yes, this number was completely lifeless.

  • I saw this live... it was so much fun and I loved the twist of the singers and instruments... wildly entertaining. we loved it!

  • Do the actors always play the instruments. I mean it is kind of cool and different, but then you can only hire actors who can play those instuments.

  • @blattman13 These are fairly well known actors who learned to play these instruments for the roles.

  • why make the performes play the instruments - i find it distracting.

  • I agree.

  • It adds nothing but novelty...why not PAY musicians to play the music and get the actors to perform the great music of Stephen Sondheim...would a choir perform the music of Verdi'S Requiem as well as sing?...maybe?

  • @me254065 Because it was cheaper to make a deal with the actor's and musician's unions and pay one set of performers to do both sets of jobs.

  • Company is #1!

  • Wonderful musical. I saw a live performance of it several years ago, and loved it. Sondheim is a gifted, talented original and his work is pure gold. From Gypsy to Assassins, he has no equal.

  • My favorite song!!!!

I was in this musical and I played peter, this was always my favorite song to sing, it added such life to our characters.

  • Im going to be playing Sarah in May
