I think on the TDI PD engines the ECU only limits the Torque, so if the RPM timing is quicker than usual the ECU makes no effort to restrict this thus people getting higher BHP than factory recommended.

En el Reino Unido el primer "Sport TDI 130" modela didn't. Los modelos de la gasolina hicieron. el "Sport TDI 100" unos hicieron y el "FR TDI 130" hizo.

They do feel like more than 130bhp. The acceleration mid-gear feels almost on a par with my 3.0 Z3.

I've read that VAG group intentionally conservatively rate their cars engine outputs and that most TDI 130's left the factory with about 140bhp. I can believe that.

I put my Ibiza FR TDI in a rolling road last week and it came out with 155.7bhp. I couldn't beleive it.
