This car is slow. I will own this car with my GTI. Have beaten so many TSXs with my GTI its getting old now. I also beat the RSX Type s and the TSX type s. Both of them are much slower than my MKVI GTI

In this video the TSX is really a Honda Accord Euro R (Another country). This version has a K20 engine, which has less power than the one in the States. So if this version of the TSX (Euro R) has less power, but beats the IS250 by a little over half a car length. It means the TSX in the states can beat the IS250 for sure.

Acura cars are cheaper and most of the lower trim Lexus are slower than the Acura. Lexus is only good on comfort. A stock TSX fully loaded can beat a fully loaded IS250 in speed and it's 10K cheaper. Why hate on Acura when you own one?

They are both Entry Level Sports Sedan, Check online. Check online for 0-60 stock, automatic times, TSX > IS250. IS250 is not a performance car. Its in the Sports Sedan Category. But a ES300 is not. Well Lexus IS250 is but its slower than the TSX by a bit go online find the #'s they say the same. It shows TSX is faster than IS250. So what you say about not racing? a Inline 4 Best a V6? With 205 vs 204 HP. lexus is 1 HP. And last i checked lexus is250 is smaller

Well. I wouldn't neccessarily consider a TSX to be a race car, but more of a near luxury sedan. In reality, the IS250 is faster when both cars are equipped with an automatic transmission. The figures in the 7 second range for the TSX are from a manual shift TSX. I know this for a fact as I also own a IS250.

@NigguhJason The current gen IS and ES Lexus are the opposite of what you think. At least for the 350 versions of each. The ES350 has the 2GR-FE Engine, rated on premium octane making 276 HP. The IS350 has the 2GR-FSE which is the same as the 2GR-FE but with Direct Injection technology. It makes 306-310 HP. The IS is a smaller model, but more performance oriented. Like the BMW 335i is more powerful than the 528i.

Hmm...I strongly doubt that but maybe it will. I think this would have been faster if I shifted in manual mode which revs to 7,600RPM and end up continuing to rev in the V-Tec range. The auto mode doesnt do that.

You can actually hear the v-tec range..This car was equipped with Hondata Reflash..which took the v-tec rev starting from 5,000 rather than 6,000. and the topline was 7,600 as opposed to stocks 7,200..it would have been faster if it was in manual mode.

Originally, it was just to cruising with wheels and exterior tuning. But when I put on bigger wheels, the car got much slower and in order to offset the difference, I decided to tune the car a bit. But..yes..I learned my lesson not to mess with a family sedan.=)

TSX is 3280lbs if I remember correctly. It has 200hp, but lacks on tq. Pretty fast car on a rolling start.

US version of the TSX is the JDM Accord with a bigger engine (K24A), as Japan, Australia and Europe uses the K20. I wouldn't say that America has lower standards because both the Accord and the TSX have far better engines and equipment over what's available in Europe. I would say that Europe has lower standards overall because most probably couldn't afford to buy the 2.4 engine. Which is why they are selling you the 2.0 over the 2.4.

Read up budd. The accord is 3120 pounds. TSX has extra 150 pounds and has 40 less hp. Its runs 0-60 7.5 thats pretty generously. They tested 7.9 for 0-100kmph. thats 0-62 im shaving. .4 seconds off of that for you.

I've driven one because I own one... So I think that I'd know at least something about it, which includes cornering. You can take sharp curves pretty fast without needing to decelerate and the car will remain on track without any problems.. And the Accord that has 40 more hp is also a V6, because the I4 Accords have sub-200hp. Try comparing engines that are the same size...
